Re: Glued seams coming off on new kite

I had some stitching fail on a 2019 Moto after 2 uses. Its not unique to Cabrinha, all brands factories make mistakes. Cabrinha kites in general are overbuilt and tough. If thats the leading edge it looks like they changed the way its stitched compared to 2019. I just hand stitched my kite rather th...

Re: Hunt for "MY" ultimate kite surfboard

Maybe have a custom corevac board made. You can spec dimension and construction is hard to beat. Super light and super strong but no harsh ride of a stiff production board. I think the one i have is 5 layers of cloth on top and then he vac bags them. The light weight is great for travel as well, abo...

Re: Neilpryde Mission FZ or BZ and other misc. (edited)

I think higher end NP suits use good neoprene, have ankle weeps and slick skin on chest, good for kiting. Have heard the Mystic suits stink and make you stink after. O’Neil and Excel are most of my experience. I was thinking of trying a NP suit, they get good reviews. Having more than one isnt the w...

Re: Lift 170 Classic harmonics

My lift 170 classic hums at speed also. I bought it used for cheap in great condition so am not complaining. Love the foil, super stable and pretty fast. Much less pitchy than the Moses 633. Haven’t gotten around to sanding it yet to get rid of the hum. I was going to start with the mast.... Looking...

Re: Covid vaccine

Some of the concerns with the mrrna vaccine. https://www.biologicalmedicineinstitute.com/post/covid-19-mrna-vaccines Read some of that and it sounded scary. I was curious of his background....so copy paste to google. That article was written by a practitioner of Naturopathy. He is an Acupuncturist/...

Re: Cab Switchblade vs Moto

I ride out east, do i know you? ... anyway 14m switchblade sucks avoid at all costs. Contra 15 will work as a light wind twintip or mowing lawn on surfboard but there are better choices, its slow. If Cabrinha made a 1 strut 14m....but they dont.... that would be a perfect for what your asking. One s...

Re: Help me choose a new Kite

My 2 cents would be look for a big air type kite. They are typically very good at going upwind and for someone 120kg (I'm around 100 myself) having that extra rigidity helps (or at least anecdotally that seems to be the case). Not sure how much of a need you got for a wave type kite if you are on a...

Re: iKitesurf scammer

I’ve bought and sold maybe 4-5 kites on ikitesurf without any issue. Usually, it’s quite fun to shoot the breeze with a far-away kiter and share the stoke via email or phone call. I’ve sold about the same on eBay with no issues. Facebook too. My experience has been similar to yours. I have sold and...

Re: I bought a speedboard!

Trace was a stand alone GPS with a 5hz rate. So not cutting edge by todays standards, but for 2017 is was as good as you could get for watersports. The GPS watch you’re touting uses the same sample rate. Never said I wasn’t bearing off to maximize speed, that was someone else. I have no delusions th...
