Squamish

Anyone out in BC? What’s Squamish likely looking like for next week like 11th of August onwards? Thermals good? Assume
reliable wind like usual.

The Gorge. Shut down or not in Aug

Will be out in British Columbia on vacation. Want to make the trip to Hood River mid August, but would it be fair to say this time of year is hit or miss and potentially SUP season? Just looking now seems like no wind?

Thoughts?

Re: Valves after bladder replacement : Switch Kite

Thanks for advice. Ya I saw the video. Will try no thread. I am just wondering why when it comes from the factory the thread is so tight you can’t even put the valve tube thing back to the point where you need to cut the thread off. It seems the thread is integral to the valves staying on. Anyway li...

Valves after bladder replacement : Switch Kite

Hey all - I put a new bladder in my Switch Kite Helium 3. To do so, I obviously had to pull the valves off that connects 3 struts two 3 valves on bladder. This requires taking thread off the rubber tubes that was there to hold the rubber tubes on properly and tight. As a quick measure to get back on...

Repaired 2016 RPM

Bought this kite used. RPM Slingshot 2016.
I would say 8/10 condition less this repair.
What are people’s thoughts on the repair?
Should I leave it? Get it professionally fixed?
Didn’t pay a lot for the kite.

Slingshot 10m vs Epic 9m

Looking to replace my 2012/2013 9M epic renegade. Bought it used and kite has never flown well. The pulleys seems to make it act really weird. No power to a lot of power out of nowhere. There is a decent 2016 SLINGSHOT RPM 10M for sale used. While obviously 1 extra square metre, will this kite basic...

Concave or Flat for Lakes

Just got two new midsize boards and not sure which will be better suited to my conditions/skill level I plan to try them both out on the next epic day - but just wondering about peoples' thoughts. 1) Liquid Force Influence137cm 2) Best Spark Plug 136cm The latter of the two boards is flat, lots of r...

Re: Bar Sizing

Thanks Matteo - what about a bar that ranges 57-65?
If I am mostly riding a 12m would that be ok?
Occasionally a 9m and almost never my 6.
My style is not wake/wave - but freeride.

Thanks

Bar Sizing

I have a 6,9, and a 12m. I almost always use my 12m. Will a 44cm bar be enough? I don't really wave sail, more like free riding - often in gusty conditions on the lake. My level is intermediate. I know a medium bar may be better like a 48-52cm - but saw a good deal on a 44 fixed length. Advice would...

Polycarbonate Fins versus G10

I am thinking about picking up some cheaper injection moulded polycarbonate fins versus the more typical G10.
It is for a twip tip board. Does anyone have any experience with these kind of fins?

Good Winds 👍
