Re: Save Our Playgrounds - Duotone Sustainability Pledge

Fantastic initiative. They may lose a few nuthead customers who believe climate change / sustainability is a giant conspiracy, but that’s well worth it. Hopefully more brands will follow!

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Oh please, I'm not going to play whack-a-mole on an endlessly repeating list of climate science denier myths. They are all easily refutable and debunked here: https://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php Since you've obviously got some time on your hands, I would encourage you to start reading the...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Show me just one peer-reviewed paper in a reputable scientific journal that backs your claims. Here are fifty or so papers that confirm what I have just told you: https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uploads/2018/02/WG1AR5_Chapter10_FINAL.pdf Did the medieval warming period exist? Did the little iceage ...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

So you support self-inflicted extinction of the human race? Is that what you are attempting to argue? Cathy Newman kitesurfs!? Seriously though, why do you do this? The leap is so proposturous that any claims it was a genuine question just makes you appear really unintelligent. Even Cathy New...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Mass extinction events are not a good thing. In the past five or so past events, it has taken tens of millions of years for biodiversity to return. Unlike past events, the cause is a single dominant species (us), not giant asteroids or runaway greenhouse gas warming. There are many unintended conse...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Life on earth will never be in danger. It might be in around 4 billion years or so  Well sure. Maybe you are some kind of freak, but no person I have ever met is capable of really envisioning what will happen long after they are dead. ;) Most human goals seem to be very short-term. Who really...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

I really don’t get the point you are trying to make: you agree with scientists that in a 1.5 degree warming scenario (which is close to being realized), 90% of coral reefs will die. Yet you believe this is not a problem because certain corals in the Red Sea according your imaginative theory could r...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

...I am a scuba diver and marine biologist and have witnessed many spawning events. No, mass coral spawning events do not spread globally and asexual reproduction of coral has a very low success rate. It seems that due to your occupation, your vision is limited to 10 meters; 30 meters max. Let me a...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Hilarious! The last time the Earth was 3 degrees warmer, apparently it made all of the coral extinct? Maybe "moon men" brought the coral back after having saved it to be replanted in the earth's oceans? Palmy, I think you're losing touch with reality. If the Earth's ecosystems were that sensitive t...
