Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

Just some notes from behind the scenes... . Thanks for the info. While you are here, a couple comments/requests if I may - from a very long time NKB and current DTK user with 5 Neos and Neo SLS & Wam and Whip and 1 Unit dlab and 2 Unit user: 1) why do you keep using the Airport Valve together with ...

Re: FOne Signature 2012 Surfboard Epoxy or Poly ??

I dont know what it is... When painted it can be difficult to find out. BUT, it doesnt matter, use epoxy for repairs (with or without fibreglass) as it sticks well on both polyester and epoxy, is stronger and better in every way. Also, IF the core (most likely not, but a few are) is styrofoam or sim...

Re: Difference Gong HM 85 and 86 masts?

Thanks, I didnt see the measurements.

So I was only partly correct, the 86 is thicker yes but not only at the base, it is 13 % thicker at fuselage and 18 % thicker close to base, than the 85.

That explains, so more draggy but a lot stiffer/stronger and same material.

Difference Gong HM 85 and 86 masts?

Has anyone knowledge about the differences? Of course I could ask, but assume others HAVE asked, or knows. It seems, from reading, that the 86 cm is "buffed up" so thicker at the root so even stiffer in particular for wingfoiling, compared to the 85 cm. Meaning the 85 has less drag when on the surfa...

Re: The future of foiling

Hmmm, maybe, but not sure it is a thing for everybody. Feeling and using the wind as power, and the love being able to fly and play with a kite (or wing or sail), and having to follow the nature whatever it comes up with, is what attracts most I think, TT or surfboard or windfoil or wingfoil or sail...

Re: Kite gear destroyed in fire caused by kite gear

Hoping the foiler may read this….Sorry to hear about this fire from your pump charger. Are you able to share more info on the pump brand and its electrical connections? This may help the community as there is a flood of all sorts of these now in circulation. The community will appreciate the info. ...

Re: Beginner foil

Oh, really? I'm curious what are the prices of the foils you mentioned. Naish looks similar to the Gong Curve which I'm still using for kitefoiling. Agree, but these are old and second hand so if course they can be really low cost. Can not advice the OP apart from the Slingshot having the best best...

Re: The future of foiling

So because you don't know whether to choose a 2.8/3.2/3.7 kite you go efoiling instead?

This is beyond my imagination WHY?

Any of these sizes would work if you are in doubt :thumb:

For low or no wind spots or no wind waves, yes it makes sense.
