Re: Foil quick mount

I have chosen a 1 screw box for my kitefoils (masts and flyers always assembled), and leave the wingfoil on the board in the car, only change frontwings or base position if needed on a given day. Yes we are lazy, but once the fast solutions have been used for some time, almost impossible to go back ...

Re: Foil quick mount

Disagree... I have never seen anyone being able to assemble a board to baseplate in 1 minute or less in a track with loose T nuts. Sometimes it takes quite some time to get the T nuts placed correctly, and if one slides a bit it is a PITA and they might have to remove again to get it right. So when ...

Re: Hydrofoil bolts

Agree, drill or saw them out/off.

You can probably ride just fine with 3 bolts yes but why not fix it so you can take it apart?

Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

120 mm root chord. So, 0.118. Still a smaller number than your Gong (0.122). My point was simply that I don't think anyone who's held and felt a Medusa Pro would call it a "thick" foil. But anyways all of these measurements only give you a ballpark idea and it's pointless to use the numbers to tell...

Re: What size kit recommendations for 14 year old beginner

I think it could work yes.

An inflatable 100 litre board is big, but no problem and inflatables ARE usually chosen bigger than rigid boards, no problem.

I would just go for this combo and see how it goes :thumb:

Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

And what is the relative thickness?

Thickness/Chord is key as the absolute thickness is not important.

Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

Snip... @Peter, you can't compare the 869 to another wing with same size/dimensions and a different shape/camber etc. When I tested the 869 first time I was genuinely surprised that it had more lift than my North MA1200. Top speed I couldn't test unfortunately. I almost agree with you... But have f...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

Thanks - so it IS really light. The whole idea with a wingcam is to use 360 cams so I dont see this as a problem? For a tip mount you can take pictures/video of your friends around you also, thats great :thumb: The centerstrut or boom mount is supereasy yes, but I dont like this angle. I also have m...

Re: What size kit recommendations for 14 year old beginner

Are you going to wing also, or?

She should go with something around 1000 to 1200 cm2 and a 65 to 80 litre board.
