I will second the recommendation for Sandy / Kitopia at Sherman Island. I personally took lessons from her a few years ago. She was very thorough, accommodating, friendly and safety oriented. +1 for getting outside of the wake right away. I have found getting out past the wake easiest right at the start. I have only gotten 3 sessions behind a I/O boat, the prop wash and wake is tricky, a jet ski might be less so. I can't wait to use a kite instead, but wind is unreliable in my home locat...
