Re: Twintip damage can I repair it? Gash 5 cm

I had similar damage, bit smaller 4-5cm. Clean it, dry it, put epoxy resin deep in materials with syringe. Sandwich board between 2 planks and clamp.Put PE bag between board and planks to protect from gluing all together. Wait a day, sand off extra epoxy. Feel proud. I still ride mine. For me even b...

Re: Self landing and launching

Assisted landing is good if another person is a kiter or has landed kites before. I have done mistake twice by asking beach goers for help (one was wife of beginner kiter)- explained what to do, where and how to hold kite, what will happen, and so on. But both times they grabbed kite by trailing edg...

Re: Buying used lightwind kite BEGINNER HELP

as beginner I was on the same mindset- big kite has more power which I need. Maybe :) I got 16m. Quite happy with it. But was really surprised when one day I could not get upwind anymore- but experienced dude on 14m just zooms passing me. It is a lot about skills and board size. If you are on a tigh...

Re: Kite gear with Ryanair

If you want o fly first class- you pay and fly first class. I could afford it only once in 5 years. Or never. I decided to have cheaper flight and pay only for services I really need, then I choose cheap Ryanair fligh. People who work there- they choose to work there. I been taking 150cm golf bag- s...

Re: Kite gear with Ryanair

On Ryanair Copenhagen-Teneriffe I paid for normal sports baggage, for 150cm golf bag. No problems at all. Just do not exceed on weight limit, 20kg is max. Sometimes they check and sometimes they do not :) I thing for large sports baggage they count windsurfing gear.

Re: Summer + autumn UK wetsuit for water 10-14 C

4/3 will do. You will be fine in water. On land with wind- just put on old jacket. For me- i felt difference if suit has 'wool' lining or not- if drains faster, feels a bit warmer. Easier to get in. I pay happily a bit extra on that. If it does not have lining- it just feels wet. My Mystic Majestic ...

Re: Summer + autumn UK wetsuit for water 10-14 C

I have Mystic Majestic 5/4 back zip and use it from April-May to September-October in Sweden. Never felt cold. Temperatures around 10-18C. Temperature feeling depends a lot on the wind. In 10-15 degrees days I use 3mm hoodie, 5mm boots. Impact vest- Dakine Surface gives some insulation too. Gloves s...

Re: Sometimes I wish I knew my speed

I am using app Windsport Tracker on a phone. It has a enough of statistics for sessions, speed, distances, maps.

Phone I put in a waterproof bag, then I put it in the pouch on arm that runners use. And since I am kiting alone often- its nice to have phone with me all the time.
