Self Rescue Kite Pigtails Technique - Pryde Club

Anyone else tried this? Obviously seems more advanced, but if you area really out there, might be better than the slow option?

Re: Had Low Wind Breakthrough For Big Guys Like Me 100 kg

Yeah, overall that Infinity 99 wing is enormous, and combine with an 18m... that seems like a lot to get going that low. I mean I've flown a 15m Core XR with a Slingshot Infinity 76, and a Nobile infinity foil 5'2... and I can ride just over 10mph... I just switched to a Core Xlite 12m with that sa...

Re: noob looking for buying advice

There are quite a few similar threads like this on this board. You will find a bunch of answers like tautologies´ where someone just recommend what they themselves know and probably like. Rather pointless information. Then you will find posts like the one from bkkite which is a lot more useful if y...

Re: Had Low Wind Breakthrough For Big Guys Like Me 100 kg

I have a 2450 which is bigger in surface area, but I am not using it for kiting. I could not imagine using a bigger kite than a 4 with that much foil. 18 would be impossible to handle. My 1250 is as big as I would want to use a 6 with. I just got a 1050 to be able to go faster...at that size I go i...

Re: noob looking for buying advice

I'm 100kg, and I kite around NYC, which is a relatively light wind spot. Here's what I did, and I'll follow that with what I wish I would have done :) Quiver 1 (2016): - Slingshot Rally 12m - Slingshot Rally 17m - Slingshot Misfit board - These were all new, but previous years models so a good disco...

Re: Cabrinha US demo Tour

Tour stop #5! Check out the piece from Shelter Island. Light air, but the team was still out there expanding the horizons of younger sailors interested in taking their game one step farther. Amazing venue and good times. So bummed I had to ...

Re: Had Low Wind Breakthrough For Big Guys Like Me 100 kg

I think a bigger board with more surface area for planing, and more volume for floating might be more forgiving for the period of time before getting up on foil. The volume may make it a touch tricker for getting your feet on the board right before the water start. The bigger surface area may also ...

Re: Logic for Core XR CIT Settings?

I've got XR4s in 9m,12m, 15m, and used to have a 19m.

For twin tipping and boosting, I always left everything in the middle.

I've started to foil more, and I've put the CIT on the wave setting when I do that.

Re: First session on new foil - Slingshot Apollo 60

Hey why you ride nobile split board if you don’t travel? It would be easier to have regular board? I did travel a lot pre COVID, and I hope to travel again soon once we get comfortable with our newborn. It was basically just the board I had before I started foiling, so it was easy to get going on i...
