Re: Slingshot Phantasm Carbon foil launch - 2020

Watch at the end where they fit the Moses 1100 to the Phantasm fuselage I got the impression that is the Slingshot 633 wing https://pcdn.piiojs.com/i/rxizc9/vw,1536,vh,0,r,1,pr,1.4,wp,1/https%3A%2F%2Fwww.slingshotsports.com%2FImages%2Fitems%2F121235633_main-1.jpg%3Fresizeid%3D2%26resizeh%3D1200%26r...

Re: Foil board advice

A mid-size may be more forgiving, until you dial in transitions. I thoroughly enjoyed the red t38 @ 80kg, less the leaking strap inserts. It seemed to pair quite well w/ the 633.

Re: Mast position on Armstrong board

I have used the 1850 underpowered kiting & prefer it moved it forward on my t38 board. My back foot seems happiest over the rear half of the mast.

Re: Board Size Guidance

Not intending to skew off topic...
I am also located in FL & considered one of these setups, but concerned after reading about heat-related issues like eps off-gassing & delaminating.
Is there certain board construction that may hold up better in the higher heat areas?

Re: Off Grid Sports boards

Many of the Moses boards use a thru-board attachment, although not tracked like those.
The front strap placement appears a bit crowded to me, perhaps a photo perspective issue.

Re: Kite Foil for Beginner

i don't care for the flexibility of some no-volume boards
the pairing of flotation in a larger volume front wing w/ the board to be semi-neutral buoyant seems almost impossible to accomplish shopping online
i personally prefer the wing to be able to sink into the water for ease of recovery

Re: Moses w800

I forgot about the W800 being mounted on a different fuselage. I'd be interested to know whether this affects the mast mounting position. I had the mast mounted in the forward (kite fuselage) position, I forgot actually, but the pic posted previously shows this. I agree it was likely a 2017 era mast

Re: Moses w800

Yes lost. Did dive after it w/ gear w/in a few hours but unable to locate it due to weekend boat traffic making the search too risky. I am ~180#, but the rider when this happened is ~220#. I had ridden it for a dozen sessions on the 91cm & this was the first time attached to the 101. Unfortunate, as...
