Check out YouTube clips on beach launching. Will help you see what the kite should look like and where you should be positioned relative to launcher.

i use a Garmin Forerunner 310xt. its an early/old model that looks like your wearing a tissue box. worse is the need to use a dongle to do updates (not wifi)....get quite a bit of flak for its look/size but still works Would be keen for a fenix but cant justify it and rather spend on other gear to g...

Not sure about videos about this. With the right wind direction I find holding the leash and letting the wind carry the upside down kite the easiest. Where the wind is blocked i carry the leading edge in my armpit and grab the center strut to lift it. sometimes I will flatten the board with the othe...

I am no fool expert but have seen this done with bicycle speed records using a tow. Maybe someone can tow a specialist high speed foil until it hits its operational stable speed then let the wind/rider do the rest. Easy for a jet ski to do it.

I learnt on a 12m DNA and switch board. Great kite to learn on and still have the board. Cranks upwind and my mate changed his axis board after trying mine.

l like to think "be the board, be the board..." whilst in superman shape turning heard to breath like swimming. counting is good but I also try to spot the board first....no leashes.....just google to find out why.
