Putting the kite to the edge of the window (either side) and grabbing the middle line furthest from the water will drop the kite onto its edge. keep pulling on that line and walk towards the kite. key to safety is not letting go even ...

How about a second leash? Good for creating a loop as previously suggested and lower risk drift launching as always attached to the kite.

I like the look of the raptor extreme but no way to try before you buy in New Zealand....
