Re: What is your oldest kite that you still use?

2014 15m Best TS Light Wind. Heavy but still a really fun LW kite. Comes out of the bag 1-2x a year since I started foiling

Re: 6 and 4 m2 ?

4/6 wasp quiver for me, covers 10-30kt. More or less the equivalent of an 8/12m kite combo. And yes, when the wind increases on my 6m I wish I had a 5. And when the wind dies a little on my 4m, I wish I had a 5 ...but neither enough to invest in one. Similarly, if anyone asks me about a single wing...

Lost GoPro HD Hero 3 Ouddorp The Netherlands

Today, despite a very enjoyable kiteboarding session I, unfortunately, lost my GoPro. It's a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition with a GoPro Floaty and Mygo Mouth mount (picture below). It was lost at sea somewhere east of beach entrance Noordweg in Ouddorp. It may float further down east to Rockanje, Oostv...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

What do you weigh? I'm 78kg and on an 1100 cm2 wing and find 12 knots to be the start of the sweet spot on the 5m. Pretty widely reported that there is a significant jump in performance going down from 8m to 5m so It really depends on what your after. Slower kite flying with more parked power or ar...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Longtime lurker over here, but have been on the Flysurfer Peak for hydrofoil tour already since 2017. I own a 12m Peak 3 which works wonderfully for light wind foiling. I have a Slingshot H4 wing 1502 cm2 and can go out using the Peak 3 in only 6 knots. After 12 knots I start to get overpowered. The...

Re: Switch to North from Cabrinha Kites ???

Hi Sebastien, Please note that the North Mono is a one strut kite, so please be sure that it is indeed the kite you've flown. 3 Strut North models are the Evo (as of 2018, before that it used to be a 5 strut kite), Dice and Neo. I don't know which sizes of the Switchblade you're used to go out with?...

Re: Wetsuit recommendation Cape Town Nov/Dec?

4/3 will be okay. You might get cold when in the water for a sustained period of time, because the water can be freezing. I usually use my 5/4 at Kitebeach or when surfing Llandudno and a 3/2 in Langebaan
