Re: Wingfoiling learning process

I can second the advice on booties to prevent toe wear. I've found a long leg wetsuit helps with knee wear as well. I learned the hard way...... After skipping most of our winter with learning, I'm finally up and riding on the wing foil after a good 24knot session (75ltr board, 4.5m wing). I was str...

Really enjoying Marcel’s vids. Reminds me why I got into Kitesurfing all those years ago. Having fun & hanging out with friends! Keep them coming mate, we appreciate the stoke!

Re: Artificial waves

We call it the ‘plumb-bob’ in Australia. With this set-up, there’s generally an on, cross and off-shore section whatever the wind direction. I believe it’s an invite only system at the moment. It’s testing the commercial viability of the technology.

Re: Help me pick a wing foil

I would like your help picking out a wing foil. I recently lost part of my finger to a kite line, and this has me looking at Winging with a new level of enthusiasm. Weight: I’m about 75 kg / 155 pounds. Ability: I have been kitefoiling for about 5 years, and I am quite competent. Perhaps 200 foilin...

Re: A visit to Santa's factory

Kudos to Ozone for opening up their doors for a virtual tour.
This vid certainly answered some of my manufacturing questions and assumptions.
The bare feet thing was interesting from a quality perspective. A+ from my perspective.
Will consider Ozone for my next purchase.

Re: Behind the Scenes Heavy Wave Kitesurfing - Court In The Act

That was next level wave kiting! I haven’t seen anything like this since Keahi’s vid from a few years back. Was great to see some of the effort required to film and get a ‘money’ shot from locations like this. I can imagine it’s even harder for the wind sport photography community to get good footag...

Re: Naish 2023 Kitesurfing Mag preview - Slash discontinued

Could anyone post a comparison between the Slash and the Triad for wave riding? I've been on the Slash platform since inception, Pivot before that. I use a 7m Slash for directional wave riding in cross-on conditions. I'm interested in comparative turning speed, low end power and drift performance. D...

Re: Lift foil 170 classic vs 150 surf v2

First ride today in 20 knots with a 5m LEI. Small wind swell. In comparison to the 170 Classic, I definitely feel the 150 v2 is a more advanced foil. I would agree it has very similar low-end and a faster top-end. I’d need to test low-end again in 10knots which was my starting strength with the 170....

Re: Lift foil 170 classic vs 150 surf v2

Thanks for the response mmac. I also got the 32 tail figuring I could go to the 25 to loosen it up or the 38 for a bit more stability.
Will check back in and report after my first rides.

Re: Lift foil 170 classic vs 150 surf v2

Yes, I have owned and used both wings. They are both great but different. The 150 Surf v2 actually has more lift and much better glide than the 170 Classic. The 150 Surf v2 also has a longer fuselage and is more pitch stable while still being very quick to turn. The 150 Surf v2 is faster but can al...
