kite loop radius for gybe to toe

Hi folks, so I am consistently getting round gybing from heel to toe and foiling all the way through but struggling to keep as much tension in the lines as I would like. I am quickly realising that the timing of the loop seems to be important as if I loop too soon I go flying downwind and too late t...

where to set the Y on a Neo

Hi all,

I have a click bar with an adjustable Y, how high do I set it for a Neo?

Should you put it above where the front lines connect about a third of the way up or is that the highest splitting point?

Thanks

Re: Hydrofoiling Overpowered

Keep the kite lower and maybe change your body position. If you watch footage of people racing they have the kind of stance you need to control a lot of power

whats in a Y!

hi all, I just tried a 2019 7m duotone neo and really liked it on the foil, got me going in far less wind than my usual 7m which is a 2012 rebel, and felt smoother and generally more pleasant. however I was using an RRD bar with both front lines coming down to the bar. I just read the neo is meant t...

Re: backstall on smaller kites

thanks Peter, so does that mean that you have to slowly increase your AOA as you generate kite and board speed but worker harder initially to get to that point?

backstall on smaller kites

Hi all, since foiling and using smaller kites in less wind I find I really suffer from backstall when getting out the water and on the foil on a 5m and 7m, sometimes takes a few attempts to get going, if I pull on the bar at all they just stall, far more than my 9m. Am I on the wrong kites, bad tech...

Click bar for foiling

Hi all, any opinions on if the click bar has any significant pros or cons for foiling?

Thanks

Re: High wind hydrofoiling

Windmaker do you notice much difference with the 230cm stab over the standard IC6 300cm stab?

I am using the mirage 650 front wing.

Many thanks

Re: flysurfer soul long mixer test

thanks Cwood, that kinda makes sense, so it is better to have the pigtails different lengths but everything square at the kite end then adjust the depower to make up for the different pigtail lengths?

also how does one know how much 5kg of pressure is, is that basically pull as hard as you can?!
