Re: Worse wings of 2022

This is clearly an engineering failure given how prevalent this failure is. The Unit is otherwise a very good wing, but I would not take my chances with it until they fix this issue. they seem to have adressed this problem on the 2023 basic model They put a reinforcement between the handles just as...

Re: Worse wings of 2022

???? That is a Takoon V1 , when that wing was brought into the market i do not think any wing had strings holding the bladders...they started doing that rather recently. And it is not so important, just watch your wing while inflating,do not hang to dry etc... As for dragging the wind on the ground,w...

Re: Worse wings of 2022

Interesting objective observations Mario, I love that. I havent heard of any here having broken the strut between the handles (but not that many having the Duotone Aluula or Unit), so will be interesting to see how it works out in the longer run, as it seems like a weak point. Regarding the Takoon ...

Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

We just booked transport through the places we were staying. No issues. All of the different drivers just very friendly and service minded. Doesn't mean that it will always be safe, but as a Norwegian I would probably feel just as safe/unsafe in the US as I did in Brazil (I guess you always feel sa...

Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

I know this is about where to retire, but as posters have suggested, first go visit. Good advise. I so want to visit Brazil but the crime stories kept me from going so far. It is probably overblown as you guys write. My worries circle around Police shake downs, abduction for ransom etc. I understan...

Re: Cauipe Lagoon, Cumbuco, Brazil - Updates

I didn't checked on Lagoa do Jegue but I live 5km away from the Taiba Lagoon and it's huge now. Not just the front part of the lagoon but also the back part where people is starting to use and it's great to learn as well.

Be aware: RRD and Ozone valve cracking

From my kite repair business: I've been replacing valves from RRD and Ozone veeery often. Be aware: that valves doesn't last long and crack. Ozone and RRD 2018, 2019 (and maybe newer). Different valves but same problem. Ozone has warranty for most of people that claims for it. They even sent me a ne...

Re: north neo 2018, back stall trend

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a factory problem on your kite. I've seen lot of this from big brands in the last years, including the ozone v4 5m being totally unbalanced, backstalling etc (yes, I will die saying that about ozone). It's just hard to realize how bad it is based on your words. I c...
