Vacuum bags

Do you guys have experience with using vacuum bags to reduce packing size of your kites?

Could it be bad for the kites?

Best regards
Bernie

Re: Core bar - correct trim

I have given the bar to the local kiteshop to do a safety line replacement, which looked like a major hassle.
I'll update as soon as I have it again.

Yes, but the Core pigtails have a length difference of a few centimetres out of the factory. If I trim the lines without the pigtails, there will be a length difference of several centimetres between back and front lines as soon as I put the pigtails back on. My understanding is to trim the lines a...

Re: Core bar - correct trim

So you suggest trimming with the pigtails. This is also what I thought would make the most sense.
Is it correct that trimming without the pigtails would let to a not correctly set up bar with the asymmetric pigtails attached?

Core bar - correct trim

As the pigtails have asymmetric lengths between front and back lines, is the correct way to trim with the pigtails attached, or should they rather be removed and the lines trimmed at equal length?

Re: South Africa first timer

Tried driving north 1h30 before sunset, but the dirt road along the coast seemed closed, so we had to drive around the whole area, about 50km, and it was too late by that time.

Hi Mr. Big, tried that but it was freaking gusty! Will go further north away from the mountain if life takes me back to the wild weskus.

Re: South Africa first timer

We unfortunately have not been blessed with wind these last two weeks.

The forecast looks excellent for Witsand in Infanta thursday, but it is southwest.
That is probably not worth driving there for?

Thanks
Bernie
