Only washed the kite when I was a n00b and the kite was getting muddy / dirty in salt water/mud flats. Now I never wash. Any metal on the harness, bar, and even board gets rinsed w/ fresh water after each session. Wetsuit usually gets rinsed too. Kite is put away reasonably dry and if it's a little ...

You can just use the watch, but as mentioned the jumps are way under-measured. If you want a real ego boost you'll need board-mounted hardware.

Fixing ION Apex Select

The string filament holding together my ION Apex Select harness snapped on me, and I was told by my local shop that it can't be fixed. Has anyone had success repairing this? The harness is otherwise in pretty good shape and it would be a shame to trash it. Any ideas? http://www.multihop.net/kite/IMG...

I had a bad whiplash at Maui wearing a helmet, tips of my fingers were tingling for months afterwards. A couple more falls where the helmet made the impact worse, and I'm happily non-helmet wearing now. Although I wish I had the protection against impact the helmet would provide, I've never had one ...
