Re: Kite accident in Taiwan before typhoon Masak

I could be wrong but I question if that was a real child. I think it was some sort of large doll for a number of reasons. It appears to have been attached to the child's neck - I can't imagine someone doing that to a child. If it was a child I would expect it would be flailing its arms and legs - th...

Re: Hyperlite system vs ronix

I was thinking about getting a pair of Slingshot KTV's. Apparently in 2019 they switched to an aluminum mounting track which lightened them up. They also use a gummy strap closure systems (no laces or velcro) that seems interesting. Anyone out there have experience with them?

Re: Flysurfer 6 vs Litewave Wing

I had a Cabrinha Stylus as my first lightwind board. My girlfriend was in the market for her own lightwind board so she wanted to try different boards out - which is a good idea before making a purchase. Litewave Dave was doing a demo in Florida and we both tried one of his wings. Shortly thereafter...

Kiteboarding in San Juan in June/July

Hi. My girlfriend and I are thinking about going to San Juan later this month for a kiteboarding vacation (we had been considering South Pardre, but now are thinking PR). We are leaning toward snagging an AirBnB near either Ocean Park or Isla Verde. We will probably stay about a month and ideally re...

Re: Kiting Port Charlotte

My girlfriend and I have kiteboarded at Port Charlotte beach park as well as Ponce de Leon Park in Punta Gorda. Ponce de Leon Park is very close to Port Charlotte and has a nice area to set up your kite but its a little sketchy because you must hop a seawall to get to the water. We are usually the o...

South Padre - June/July

Hi! My girlfriend and I are considering a kiteboarding vacation in South Padre June/July. I’ve reviewed the historical wind data on iKitesurf, along with the current conditions and forecasts. Right now, it looks great but of course the forecast only goes out about a week. The historical data looks r...

Re: "New era of woo"

Rather than needing to find a phone or watch that can stand up to a harsh salt water environment perhaps design it so that the Woo app can extract GPS data from GoPro either directly or from offloaded video files. That could be slick. Many of us already have a GoPro and they seem to be built tough....
