Re: North reach vs cabrinha switchblade (3s vs 5s)

The Switchblade is a fun kite that you can progress on. When the wind drops the SB has plenty of grunt to help keep you going. And when the wind gets gusty the 5 strut design helps to keep it stable. It's kind of a do it all kite that excels in jumping. It is a formula that works - I think it is on ...

Re: Witch main airlock valve replacement to use?

This is interesting. I have done replacements on my 9M 2021 Switchblade of the valves that connect the main bladder to the struts using Cabrinha replacement values. They also had an EVA cover, which I have not seen on similar after market valves. These came in two pieces, so I could easily have not ...

Re: Cabrinha04 Launched

Some initial observations: Motos a plenty! :D It seems like the base Moto X did not change except by adding an 11M to the lineup (the thumbnail of the video does not show 11M but the video clearly shows one). Then we have an APEX version of the Moto X, for higher performance. And finally an APEX XL ...

Re: Woo 4 mount reliability

I am pretty sure they switched back to the open mount some time ago (before coming out with Woo 4). I have mostly used the closed Woo mount. When they switched back to the open style mount I initially thought it was a bad idea. But I have come to the conclusion that the old style mount may actually ...

Adhesive for Control Bar

I have a Cabrinha Quickloop Overdrive Trimlite control bar where the grip and one of the bar ends appear to be coming unglued (see picture). Any recommendation for a safe and effective adhesive i.e. contact cement, super glue, silicone sealant, Gear Aid Aquaseal FD, etc? ApplicationFrameHost_1cm1HZG...

Re: Board size, boosting on a nine

I wonder if it is really worth having two TT boards within 3 or 4 cm of each other. The difference in surface area is so small that I am not sure there would be a noticeable difference in performance, at least for most people. Then factor in the added cost, hassle of taking both to the beach, and tr...

Re: Take Control with the new Cabrinha COS

Have you considered flipping upside down the 8m lower front line halfway through the wear when you would normally replace it? This would double its life. Also worth doing when you get premature wear from loooing a lot and riding with crossed lines. I have not considered that approach in the past. T...

Re: Take Control with the new Cabrinha COS

Yes - there is still the 8m lower section on the front lines of my new bar. So same general layout compared to my old Quickloop version. The 8m section doesn't seem to have any bearing on the SLF line swap for me since I just pull it out the bottom of the loop to separate and swap it out if/when ne...

Re: Take Control with the new Cabrinha COS

In the past the center lines were 8M lower + 14M upper = 22M. I believe this was to facilitate changing out the lower landing SLF line (which attaches to the safety leash). With the new line configuration, if this is still the case, the center lines default configuration would be 8M lower + 10M uppe...
