Re: What the Farmers muck?

instead of No instead of ... and. It’s OK. I got COVID shamed on FB early on parking my car near other kiters on the beach. Never mind we were hydrofoilong many lines apart. My wife got me that night. “Is this your car?” None of are perfect. We all need some fresh air. Let the locals live their lif...

Re: Anyone pack their foil kite like a paraglider/ppg wing?

I might try something like this next time out with my 12m Soul to see if it can be done and will fit in the bag without twisting the leading edge battens. However, I would never kneel on any kite like he did in the video.

Re: Care and feeding of your kite

I fold my 2010 Xbows as that is the way they came out of the bag when new, and that is the only way I can get them to fit back into the bag. No lines in the dacron where I fold it consistently in the same spots. Also, I fold them so that the struts (7) are not on the fold line to prevent bladder twi...

Re: Packing foilkite without bar?

When I sent my Soul out for repair I tied the front and rear lines together on each side and put them in the deflate port on each respective side and closed it. When I got the kite back there were no crossed bridal lines and before I attached the flying lines I made sure the front and rear lines wer...

Board sport. You are riding a board, not a kite. The kite is just a means of propulsion, just as a boat, wave, sail, wing, electric motor, hill (gravity), etc. is.

To LWC: Just curious, what kind of ply veneer have you used? Thickness? Especially when doing the rails.

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Hey, Aleks. Thanks for creating and sharing these apps. I'll try the speed app on my Garmin Forerunner 935. I usually don't wear my watch when I kiteboard. I'm wary of potential damage from high impact crashes and repeated exposure to salt water. Have you (or others) had either of these problems ki...

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

For my surfboard I come in and send the kite overhead and dismount on the lee side using the lift of the kite to keep me from landing hard. Not sure if you have enough lift with a kite for foiling to do that.
