Re: Harness Modification

Have the same problem with my Nitrous shorts harness. I use a One Back back support under my harness around the waist and it helps me. It has a padded "shell" insert for the back and a smaller one in the front. Not sure what it costs as it was given to me. Hopefully the pics below will give you an i...

Learning Curve

I was just wondering about how long it takes to learn wing foiling for someone who does not kite foil. I've asked some of my buddies how long it took them to master kite foiling and it was way too long for me to try (about 30 hours). Any thoughts on how long to learn to wing foil?

Re: PU covered depower line check?

A couple of years ago I replaced the PU centerline tube on my 2010 Cabrinha Xbow as it had cracked. The old tube had two chambers, one for the centerline and one for the flagout line and was pretty loose fitting (I could spray water on one end and rinse it out the other end). When I disassembled the...

Re: Kite Game

Wii has a kite game which I played a couple of times but it got boring quick as it was not realistic. After you perfect the beta version, you could add different parameters such as weight, skill level, wind speeds, kite size selection, board selection (twintip, surfboard, hydrofoil), water condition...

Re: Self launch and self land option

I thought about holding/walking up the lower back line (wearing sailing gloves which I used to always wear) to keep the kite coming down controlled. Not sure about holding both back lines, flying the kite, perhaps that might work. I like BR44's landing technique, but it seems that you need more spac...

Re: Self launch and self land option

I've thought of a tethered landing where you fly the kite fully depowered at 11 and hook the chicken loop into a carabiner attached to an anchor(screw anchor or sandbag). Check to see how long it takes for the kite to fall to 9 and determine if you can run fast enough to be there to catch the kite. ...

Re: whistling TT ?!

If it is the nano glide skin, you could try waxing the bottom of the board to fill in the micro channels to see if it helps. You may want to first contact Crazyfly to see what they say.

Re: SW Florida November until January

On occasion we can get warm fronts that will bring strong, warm southerly winds, sometimes prior to a cold front. Or unusual weather patterns like what we have now - high pressure to the north and low pressure to the south which has brought us easterly winds. I heard we are in a la nina weather patt...
