Water, Gatorade, Powerade, to stay hydrated. Also, a protein bar or fruit for a snack.

It appears that you used a stainless steel eye bolt and bent it? Is that correct? Are you concerned about the threads catching/binding, preventing release?

I use the 100 degree (F) rule. If the air and water temp added up is below 100, I sit it out as I only have a 3/2 wetsuit. The advice of changing into dry, warm clothing immediately after a session is invaluable in preventing hypothermia. Had it happen once when I was distracted by a bystander askin...

This reminded me of the west coast sea breeze that we have here in the spring. The wind comes out of the east/northeast until around 5pm and then turns north/northwest and picks up to 15 knots until around 7pm when it dies and returns out of the east. It appears that something at the stopper ball eroded or cut thru both lines. I assume you checked the hardware at or near the stopper ball for any sharp edges. Also, I'd compare the new parts with the cut lines and make sure the new parts won't fail.

I've had my Fenix (3) for about 1-1/2 years. I use it for kitesurfing, kayaking, cycling, hiking and general activity tracking. I developed my own apps for kitesurfing and kayaking and modified the app for cycling (not that hard to do). The battery life is good for my activity level, about 7 or more...
