Re: Covid vaccine

Europe's running out of vaccines https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/28/world/coronavirus-newsletter-01-28-21-intl/index.html We've got a better chance of dying from this thread than the Chinese plague. Is there any way to mute this thread? Every time I load up KF I see this bs at the top of the threads. S...

Re: Parkinson's and kiting

Almost 62yo and recently diagnosed....needless to say it has put my world in a tailspin. Had envisioned eventual retirement to a SA beach community to kite year around. Now I wonder what role kiting will have in my future. It is my passion and my physical symptom is primarily a hand tremor. It's th...

Re: Easy kite to learn kiteloops

The best time to practice looping for me was when the wind suddenly got super light.. Some of my first loops were with the 15m or 13.5m in sub 13kts when I could barely stay upwind and trying to get back to shore. just go for it.

Re: Ozone Strut Valves breaking after 1 year in tropical climate

For 5 years, I stored my gear in my car, all year round. None of those kites have this problem -- or any others. #neverozone hmmm. I always thought that this was huge no no.. Green house effect in the warm season. I don't have to explain this effect, I'm sure everyone has got into a really unbearab...

Re: Stopping death loop when can't reach a single line

Wow so glad your safe... question: since the kite was looping in one direction, won't the lines become so braided that they choke the kite? I have no idea and I'm just speculating/trying to imagine, but if the kite loops so many times in one direction is it possible for the kite to become deformed t...

Re: bag

I use a USD 1 nylon laundry bag for each kite (who pays $15 for a nylon bag??) and 5 kites fit easily into an IKEA Tostero bag that is I guess 200 liters ($ 20). Fun fact: the Ikea zipper still works perfect after 5 years, the old North (now Duotone) kite bag zippers lasted 2 years tops. P.s. I use...

Thanks Dave, Aberdovy, Da Yoda and Edt! :bye:

It's going to take me a while to go through everyone's suggestions. I'll report back any news. I can’t thank enough, this was 1000x more information than I anticipated and less than 24 hours of posting. Thanks again!! :D

bag

Thinking about a bag- different capabilities depending on different situations. In most situations, you can leave a bag with extra gear and not fear it stolen, or I'm with the lady and her recliner who will look after bag while out. I'm really cautious about leaving extra kites or gear around while...

Since you are 195 pounds you should be able to easily hold down the 13.5m in 16-22 kt the 9m in 23-31 kt...
