Re: Old BRM C2s

I loved the C2's. What size kites did you buy and what's your weight? There is no work around. The wind rage is limited (on the D's too) and you use them in their ideal range and it's awesome. Get over-powered and they can punish. if you have the BRM connection moving a knot closer to your body make...

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

I have the Kanaha shapes 41, Groove Skate and the Newind suggested. Here are my 2 cents. The Kanaha shapes rides by far and away the best. It's super basic and awesomely light. It just locks in when up on foil. The process with Kanaha was easy. He had it in stock and shipped it. The Groove Skate too...

Boardriding Maui type release pins

Hi. Anyone know where I source these? I know I can buy the kit from Greg. I have several attachments and BRM bars. Love them. I just want a source for the stainless steel pins he uses for the release. I appreciate any help. Yes, I searched forever and there's too many pages. Thank you. BS

Re: Peak4 - Hype or Hydrofoil? Video Review

Here's my 2 cents based on actually using the kites. The 8 is nice but, for me, it's inadequate for sub 10kts. That's why they have the 11m. I really love the 11. I feel you could possibly go without the 8 and use the 11m to bridge the gap to the 5m (14 kts), though I like having the 8 for ~12kts. A...

Re: Minnesota kiting

I will be kiting next week on Lake Sylvia (South Haven/Annandale). Bringing a full range of Peak4's and hydrofoil. Anyone out there? I grew up there but live and kite in Boston.

A full quiver of FlySurfer Peak 4's. I already did this but I would have saved a lot of money. If you foil get them when looking for a new kite. They're cheap, super easy to use and incredible.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

@Foilholio. The Lift 130 is roughly 838 cm2 based on a google conversion. My board is a Kanaha Shapes 110. It's super light, has little to no floatation and a dream to ride. I don't have a scale but the whole set up is super light. Using the 11m took little effort. When the wind dropped to sub-8 I h...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I've read a lot of theories the 11m potentially isn't a good option like the smaller sizes. Of course I still bought one and finally used it yesterday. I'm 77kg with modest foiling skills. I forgot my larger board and surf wing so I rode a lift 130 on a 110cm pocket board. My lines were 22m. Winds r...

Got it. There is no reason to be suspect and it's a great product. Thanks.

Re: Help sourcing stainless steel O-rings

Thanks Everyone. I went to the source at SK Shapes. I wanted what they use on their bars. He actually has these and other spare parts so it was easy. Thanks.
