Re: Wichard Snap Shackles - why so much $$$?!

I have been using one from the Victory brand for 3 years for snow kiting it looks the same as wichard but it was like 25$ so far so good it's rated like 10 times my weight so that's good enough for me!

Re: Light wind kite

The flite is a great kite super light and quick turning for it's size. Before I started foiling I was riding in 8 knots all the time but that meant a Huge door board a 17m kite and lots of skills! Foiling is more fun but if you don't want to be bothered a Flite 17 and a door board will work!

Re: LE stitching stretches / is widening. Need to worry?

Just put a little bit of Marine Goop on it! I repaired many small holes and stitching on kites with that stuff it will last forever and never come off.

Re: Is kite boarding/ kitesurfing a boardsport or a kite sport?

I think boards are a bigger deal than kites. Foiling changed the game for those of us in wind challenged locations. I used to be the guy on huge kites all the time now that I started foiling I'm the guy with the smallest kite and having a blast while doing it!

Re: Line lengths - Best red bar 16

I have a couple of best Red bars 2016 and 2017 are identical. I believe they are 22M 4 equal lines. But you can use any set of 4 equal lines that you can get no matter the length as long as it's reasonable most people ride between 20m and 25m .

Re: Low end Naish boxer 10m paired with a Moses Onda

Yes absolutely I have a 9M Boxer and a Moses 633 foil 8 knots is definitively possible with some skills on the 9M so on the 10M it should be even better. Those Boxers are kind of big for their size they feel like a bigger kites. Apparently they are bigger than disclosed if you measure the surface ar...

Re: Airush Ultra 12m as Main Kite for Twin-Tipping

Just to clarify, u are concerned of jumping with Ultra and a water relaunch? Concern with jumping - for near future when I'm ready to try jumping, hopefully this summer :( Concern with water relaunch - current. However, this isn't a big concern in general because I'm good at it . Only that one time...

Re: How do you find people to kite with?

We get so little wind here that if you show up at the beach when it's windy 80% of the time there's other kiters there and it's always the same people so after a while they become friends. And after a few years you travel around the world with them! Kiting is like that you need help from the others ...

Re: Airush Ultra 12m as Main Kite for Twin-Tipping

I own an Ultra12M it's not the best kite for TT riding. I have another quiver of freeride kites for boosting on the TT. The Ultra is super ligth and hangs in the sky in almost no wind it also drift very well which is good for waves riding and foil. On a twintip you want a powerful kite with lots of ...
