Zeeko Carver 950 setup for winging

Hi All, Decided to give this winging a go, I'm currently kite foiling with a Zeeko carbon foil setup, I bought a 950 Carver front wing and 300 stab to kite with in surf but I actually prefer the smaller freeride 590 wing as I find the 950 too 'lifty' I'm 75Kg. Am now wondering if the 950 setup would...

Re: Flotation

Recently I had to swim in for the first time in many, many years. I wasn't wearing a pfd or impact vest, kite was Marabou (not LEI), and the board was a SS 42" DC. So out of the three, only one thing could float me in (the board). Do you choose your session gear based upon the possibility of having...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

a Peak4 3m and 5m kite for the average weight foiler will cover from 6-7 knots to over 25knots
Seriously, I can't see a 5m Peak4 working below 10 knots, I have only tested a 4m Peak4 and ordered myself a 5 & 3m on the back of this test, if so I'll be selling my 10m Soul :o :o

Re: NZ South Island foiling spots

Thanks everyone some great tips in there, even if some conflicting info on wetsuit requirements, think I'll take a 4/3 and sweat a bit on the coast! :thumb:

NZ South Island foiling spots

Hi All, Currently planning a trip in Jan/Feb 2020 touring the South Island in New Zealand and looking for info on any foiling friendly locations we could build into this trip, any local groups of foilers FB or whatsup? Are the lakes any good, or any coastal spots particularly suited to foiling? Thanks

Re: 6m Soul as step down from 10m?

I have a 10m Soul I ride with a hydrofoil in light winds. It works well for me from about 10 knots up to around 20, at which point I feel overpowered. I'm considering adding a 6m Soul as a smaller foil kite (all my other smaller kites are inflatables), and while it seems like it should work fine, i...

Re: 6m soul for foiling

I switched from single strut 9m LEI to Soul 10m for lightwind and liked it so much (no more swimming in under 10 if I dropped the LEI) I also got the 6m. The 6m on 20m lines I can foil from 11/12 knots, change to 14m lines at 14/15 knots and it's really great not sure of the top end range as I woul...

Re: 6m soul for foiling

Anyone using the 6m soul for foiling yet ? I'm 70 kilos and I have 9m hyperlink ultra light and I love it but I'm get over powered a lot of the time and I need a smaller foil kite . I have smaller tube kites but I love the lift from a foil kite for doing foiling foot switches . I switched from sing...
