Yes, from Mid-December until end-Feb. In november it is raining in Kalpitiya and now wind....

Hi Toby, from Dec to March you will need a bigger kite than in summer season. The wind is comming on the afternoon, after 12-1pmm 14-18 knots, but some days it can be stronger up to 25 knots...

Hello Abel, Kappaladi is also a great place and the wind is very steady from May to October. It is true that some hotels are expensive, but there are places like the Kite House café, which is very nice and with very good prices.

Last febrary we had pretty good wind in Kalpitiya on the afternoons. From december to Febrary wind is comming around 12-1 pm normally.
