Re: Foiling 360 - Kite and Bar Position Tips (with video)

Wow, where was this video when I was learning these?! Great footage and should really help those wanting to learn this fun and deceptively easy move.

Re: Getting most power out of a foil kite

Next time you are launching your foil kite in the hot launch position - I.E. in light wind - you will notice how little the kite pulls while you are waiting for it to gain pressure with the bar sheeted in. Even after it has fully pressurised while sitting in the power zone, it will pull very little ...

Re: Next steps, whats the best progression?

If you don't crash and burn, you never learn. For me the biggest hurdle is deciding to try a new move. Once the decision is made, the move actually comes relatively quickly. 360s and tacks to toe side were starting to be occasionally completed after a day or 2 of the initial attempt. Foot swaps on t...

Re: Jumping with large wings (Onda) destroys masts?

I have a 633 wing and love it. The idea of jumping it seems crazy to me. Something has got to give eventually with that large surface area hitting the water repeatedly. Small fast wings, sure, I get jumping those is a viable thing.

Re: Tacking Variations - Ideas

Wow that is an impressive move. The only tack I've mastered is the heel to toe tack / 360. I spent yesterday trying to learn the toe to heel tack and so far it has me stumped. So awkward trying to get around the lines. I'll have to go back to the thread on doing them an re-read it. Anyway, keep up p...

Re: Ride Engine/Slingshot Bat Wing/H4 vs. NF2/H5

Look at the new Slingshot Apollo 60 wing. It's got great low end, good speed potential and carves beautifully. I love mine - I'm addicted to riding it. I was on the H5 as well.

Re: Slingshot Apollo 60 wing

First sessions this weekend on foil. Favorite wing without question. Fast stable yet carvy when you ask it to be. Inspired a lot of confidence in me very quickly. When i breached it, i was able to continue riding. My only problem was the amount of front foot pressure needed. I have an alien air and...

it was more if the mast went into the top of the wing or behind it directly on the fuselage.
Oh sorry. Well I have the old fuselage so I don't have any option other than on the wing. I works really well there though. Maybe start at the front first then have a go at the rear setting.

Re: Slingshot Apollo 60 wing

I just got my wing today and will get to use it tomorrow. Is it supposed to mounted into the front of the fuselage or on top? I tried googling it and came up with nothing. It mounts the same as all the SS Hoverglide wings. Simply slide the collar of the wing onto the fuselage, then place on the bot...
