Re: M8 mast to M6 board inserts - how to connect?

I had the same issue fitting a Lift foil to a Nobile board. I bought some plastic tube with 8mm outside diameter and 6mm inside diameter from ebay. Cut it into short lengths and sleave the 6mm bolts with it. Now the bolts will sit perfectly central in the 8mm holes of the foil mast.

Re: soul pulling to one side

thanks tsuneo that's interesting, I did the mixer test and it was fine, however if I understand you right the mixer test can be fine on each side but the line(s) might be longer overall on the left than the right? Any ideas for how to test this? I take a thin tent peg or screwdriver and stick it th...

Re: Best all round kite quiver for foil & freeride TT

I have a 10m Pivot (2017) as my most used kite for foiling and TT. In light wind I use a Peak4 8m, or a LF Solo 12m (it has more grunt than the Peak, but needs a little more to stay in the air as you enter the water...), but as soon as it is above 10 Kts i am onto the 10m Pivot. I have found it to b...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

I don't think the North pulleys will last very long, I just had them in my spares box along with all the lines. Now I know that they are called Orbit Blocks, I will replace them once we are allowed to play outside again and the mixer has shown itself as an improvement over the Flysurfer design on th...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

IMG_0151.JPG Thanks for the insights, I made up a Left and Right mixer today. Adjustments at C-Main and Z. C-Main adjustment to make it exactly 1/2 the B-Z pulley line length, and Z adjustment to keep it in trim with the front line attachment. I am using a North fixed pulley at C with an extra hole...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

Hi Pugetsoundkiter, In your schematic you show the Jakov Mixer with the C-Sparepart Line (green) running from Z attachment to the B Pulley. Is this correct, as the video by S2000kitesurfer shows this connection being at the top of the mixer at B? I don't see that it makes a huge difference to perfor...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

IMG_0145.JPG If i just rearrange the mixer, will it not make the trim of the kite wildly different? Taking the C-Sparepart Line (yellow) and flipping it up to the Z and B points will leave C-Main 20cm too long. This will be removed by Z-Main now being 60cm, but that's now making the Rear lines to C...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

I am thinking of making up a Jakomixer and trying it out on an old Flysurfer Unity 10m that i use for foiling and snowkite. I have some spare 100cm and 120cm "spare part lines" so will make up two complete mixers, allowing me to swap them out with the originals to see the difference. Does anyone tha...

Re: FS Unity 10 bridle adjustments.

hi Flyfish, I tried to use the kite on a twintip to see the top end, and was unpleasantly surprised. It had a habit of "clapping wingtips" when a gust came through! It seemed that the leading edge was deforming without enough internal pressure, causing the airflow at the tips to alter and push the t...

Re: Maneuverable Seat Harness

You can easily make up a sliding spreader bar by cutting off the hook from a spreader like the tunafish above has and making up a length of Dyneema with a Brumel Spliced loop on either end. Cheap, easy, lighter than the original and lasts a long time.
