Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

I have now added pigtails to lengthen b + c + br, to compensate for shrink in the bridle. To get back total the right length in the middle of the kite (mixer test on a1) I would have to add around 12 - 15cm on the b + c + br. If doing so I would lengthen the rest of the kite too much. I was also che...

Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

I've tried the adjustment with the PMAs and extending the a1,a2,a3 and a4 with 2cm. well it definitely feels like it gives stability. then flattening the profile with the mixer and as it gets very flat it works and it has performance, but it still has front collapses in the middle of the kite someti...

Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

The 3 outer, upper sail PMAs one knot in. The outer PMA gets 2 knots shorter. I will try this whole adjustment, it makes sense, but had a question about your instruction with the PMAs. I understand the first part "3 outer upper PMAs one knot in" but then "the outer PMA gets 2 knots shorter"? Did yo...

Re: Belt/Waist leash highly recommended!

Hi Peter, Which Gong wings are you using? Mast length? I'm considering giving this a try. 78 kg dry. Was thinking Gong Pro XL, surf 40 cm stab. 70-80 mast ( I have already 90 and 100cm carbon masts and surf 40 stab Have not figured out board. Might make one, as have a 7-2 sup already shaped. And al...

Re: Inflatable Boards for Winging

Hi, any review of the gong hipe inflatable sup/Wing board? It would be nice to hear about the different sizes! The only thing that worries me are if its not angeled like some foilboards are, so that it would end Up like that you are running it with the nose a bit with a down angle, it looks like it ...

Re: Flysurfer is going to beat fishnets? (Release of VMG2)

I Guess they used prototypes for this kite in the most recent hydrofoil pro tour. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LcoF1poDbZg Im courious about of its possible to relaunch leading edge down. If not its only for high level riders wich is no surprise. Its just that There is a reason to get the vmg1 if y...

Re: Top carbon high-tech race foils and boards

I have the same question, but would also like to know about all different types of registeration for foils. Like theres the "ika approved" racefoils I guess for olympic events, will there be races where youre not allowed to race unless the foil has this or that registration? I Just want to compete i...

Re: Are Carbon Bars worth the extra price?

I tried to list all brands that make carbon bars. I bought a bar from infexion.nl to set up myself with lines and trimmer. I prefer this bar because you can slide the steeringlines easily along the bar and easily get a more narrow bar. I ride it with my 18m flysurfer sonic and with my 7m ozone reo -...
