Re: Flotation

Simple and cheap, put a couple of reasonable quality shop size plastic bags inside your wetsuit.
If floatation is required, pull bags out then fill with air and tie handles tightly together.
U maybe able to put your hand through the handles.
More detailed info available if this is not clear.

Does anyone know WHY it becomes loose?

There must be many two screw connections out there, but I have only heard it as an issue on the Moses.

Could be good to know from a design wise point.

I have had a Moses quiver for a couple of years with frequent use and no issues.

Re: Moses W1000 Speed?

Reply to above.
15kn plus with the W1000 no issues with 4m BRM Cloud windwing.
Less requires board speed pumping skills.
5m Cloud with W1000 12kn wind but can go to 20kn due to efficiency of the W1000.
1100 in 20kn plus wind requires 4 or 3m BRM Clouds

Re: Moses W1000 Speed?

Update on above.
Yesterday the wind was mostly 15 to 20kn gusts with some lighter lulls.
In the lighter lulls the W1000 took enormous pumping effort to get up to sufficient board speed. Failure to reach the right speed results in some porpoise action.
The 1100 would have popped up easily.

Re: Moses W1000 Speed?

I'm considering getting a 1000 to replace my 1100 for more speed, but these results aren't that promising. My top speed on my 1100 is 17.3 knots, or 32kph. After a break from my W1000 and only on the 1100 to day I went back to it for a comparison. A few benefits of the W1000 is considerably less dr...

What is your quiver for Windwing?
None. Yet :)
Ok, I am not even close to your skills however My quiver is W1000, 790 and 1100.
1100 90% of the time as all round easy.
790 for 20kn plus wind and W1000 if I want speed. 420 Stabiliser.

Re: Moses 2019-2020

Grigor, is there any noticeable difference between the 683S and 679? Thanks Only the printed numbers. Both wings measure about 685mm in wingspan and have identical geometry and weight. Earlier batches of 683s/633 were a bit heavier (so 633 wouldn’t make foil float on the side), but not the later on...
