Re: Getting into bad habits learning downloops

If you’re going to do backloops, frontloops, downloops, darkslides, kiteloops - basically you name it, then having twisted lines and then flipping the bar to untwist them is something you have to get used to. I can’t even get my head around what you’re doing at the moment - sounds far more complicat...

Re: How to remove salt(?) residue (binding) from twintip

Forgot to say I did something similar with my Lieuwe Shotgun although it was fairly mild, I just lightly sanded it then put the Duotone boardsavers over the top.

Re: How to remove salt(?) residue (binding) from twintip

Yep I shelled out for the Duotone stock on ones having made crap versions myself that I wasn’t happy with. They are a rip off but work very well.

Re: How to remove salt(?) residue (binding) from twintip

I don’t think those are salt marks - if they were they’ll just rinse off. They are scratches from sand and small stones that get in under the edges of the pads and straps. Being anal I use the Entity board saver to prevent these but it’s kind of too late once they are there. Largely cosmetic though ...

Re: What's the best twin tip for chop that is good for knees ?

I have a Shotgun as well as the Nomad. It has very good channelling at the tips which makes it ride very well but not a great deal of flex and I wouldn't say it's amazing in chop. Great all round board though.

Re: What's the best twin tip for chop that is good for knees ?

I’ve just got a Nomad wave twin tip. It was intended for playing about in waves with (hence the name!) as I never find directionals that much fun, but I’ve been using it for every session last 3 weeks to get used to it and it’s great in chop. Although it’s a similar shape to a Mako I really didn’t l...

Re: What a piece of shit town

If you want a considered response then perhaps start with a considered opinion. Is an entire town a piece of shit because you are unable to park what amounts to a bus without paying over the odds, in the midst of an extraordinary crisis which requires changes to the norm? How much does the parking e...

Re: Line extensions - loop on one end knot on the other?

Ok sorry I’ve just seen what you’ve posted. If you put them the other way around then you’ve already got a knot and a loop so you don’t need to attach your pigtails. The loop with the black tag on represents whichever of your kite connections that needs a loop (ie has a knot at the kite end) and the...
