Re: Reedin HTF vs Supermodel V3

Supermodel seems pretty rock solid in the air to me. Handles well even if depowered. Wouldn’t say the 11m is the fastest turning but it’s pretty easy to loop.

Re: Reedin HTF vs Supermodel V3

These are end of season deals like always when the new models come out - perhaps better this year than previous. If you’re after similar deals on HTF then it’ll be at the end of this year and you just have to hope they over-supplied again. I suspect manufacturers are going to be more circumspect thi...

Re: Reedin HTF vs Supermodel V3

I think there’s a thread kicking around somewhere where someone mentioned that the difference is very subtle. I took advantage of big offers on the V3 and very happy with them. Very powerful kites for the size, lift and float is great, very stable in gusty conditions and fly very well trimmed in too...

Re: Sorry, your used gear is worth nada

If you buy at the right time it’s rarely necessary to pay more than 50% for a new kite. Seems only reasonably that second hand will be ?25% of retail? That’s about what I find selling kites, doesn’t seem to have changed much of late really.

Re: Sorry, your used gear is worth nada

Interesting comment about wingfoiling because every time I go kiting I’m thankful that I’m doing that instead of the incredible tedium of wingfoiling. I can get that in some situations it would be fun but at decent kite spots in the UK where there is rarely any decent swell to foil back in on, wingf...

Re: Recommandations for a new twintip

I know I’ve said this already once but if you contact Saul Customs they can make exactly what you need, as long as you know where you want the inserts, the boards are bombproof and you get the added fun of any graphics you fancy, at a cost no higher and potentially lower than a boring production boa...

Re: Recommandations for a new twintip

Saul custom in Tarifa will make a bespoke board to your spec for a very reasonable price, either carbon or standard construction and can put the inserts exactly where you ask them.
