Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

When the wingfoiling showed up I was wondering why anyone would like to do it. Didn't had any wish to try it since I was kitefoiling on the spot with wide sandy beach, constant cross shore winds and with plenty of friends. Recently I moved to the place with rocky shoreline, with no kite community an...

What a terrible accident. Looks like he wanted to jump over the pier.

Re: Crazyfly Chill or F-Lite board pros/cons?

I switched to f-lite 90 cm from the 25 liters 146 cm foam board. Was amazed by the maneuverability of the board and how easy was to carve from heel to toe side. My riding improved and I'm enjoying much more riding now. Big plus is size and TT construction which helps with transportation and packing....

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

There is double action pump with two cilinders from red paddle. One is thick and other one is tin. You ise both for pumping up to 10 psi and then you switch to tin one by simply turning the valve. With the tin one you can pump up to 25 psi no problem. This can be the solution for this type of kites.

Re: How to get up on foil in light wind

people that kept distance from kiting since it harder to learn and more cumbersome. I'm still preferring foil with kites in the 8-10k range but I wonder when this range will be equally possible in winging with less effort and/or more specialized equipment :thumb: After I started winging I sold my S...

Re: Wingfoiling learning process

I started last year but until now had around 10 sessions. In the spring and autumn this wind is rearly that strong. I have luck to live by the sea and can easily start upwind of my house and if anything goes wrong (wind too strong or too weak) I just go downwind and exit in front of the house. It's ...

Re: Wingfoiling learning process

Yesterday had first season on the 3.5 meter wing. Wind was gusty 20 - 35 knots. The wing felt too big in the every gust. To be able to ride I had to point all the way upwind and to pull in with the front hand so the first part of the wing was pointed too much upwind and luffing. Basically was using ...

Re: Great tips for a longer kite life

Brushing sand away is not good solution since you are literally "sanding" the kite by doing that. Much better is to shake the kite and hit the LE couple of times (while inflated) so the sand falls off by gravity. Kite must be totally dry while doing this.

Re: paddling

Neil you are not alone, I use handwrist leash also to connect with my wing while I use waist leash to connect with my board. Maybe I should switch and use handwrist leash on one of the legs for board and waist leash for wing, don't know. If that's a case I'm wondering how should I set waist leash co...
