Re: Please help us save our amazing kiteboarding spot from destruction!

..." Squamish is hands down the best spot for windsports in North America.... Get serious. I'm supportive of keeping Squamish open but the hyperbole doesn't help the cause. It's a nice spot BUT, way too crowded, launch & land is a pain, only chop, freezing cold glacier run off water, short season an...

Re: Miami / S Florida Current Situation

For whatever it's worth. Dumb Canadian here who has kited Crandon a few times and also enjoyed a boat ride and epic session out in Stitsville in Miami area. Both locations are epic. One time in Crandon there were so many rays I couldn't land a jump without landing in a crowd of them. So much to see ...

Re: Abdominal rip muscle

Jumping and water starts are hard on the abdominal muscles.
Old age (like me) doesn't help.
Before you go back to kiting, try to slowly progress with crunches and get those abs ready:

I have heard it said that unless you feel like your drowning or being water-boarded (tortured) then your body drag technique is incorrect.

Re: Help us save our kite spot

I've been kiting Lagoon City for the past 8 years and just wanted to give my two cents worth about the effects of social media on kiting. Despite so many great kiting spots in the Toronto area with any westy (SW, W, NW) wind, over the past 2-3 years sooo many people choose, I believe because of soci...
