Re: 17m lightwind Kite + normal TT or 12m Kite + Door?

At 95kg get a powerful 17 or 19 m such as Turbine.
And the door board.

Re: Car keys and salt water

Yep. These modern keys can be a pain.

Double bag in ziplock, then pouch.

Or!
Simply hide the key somewhere safe on land. Far enough from car that it cannot transpond. What I normally do.
This way others in the group can easily go back to car any time. And no chance of getting wet.

Re: Play in ali slingshot mast and top plate?

The aluminum slingshot masts (as I assume is true for many brand) are not perfectly consistent in thickness. I have noticed on mine, all the same production year, thickness varies by 1mm. Some fit tight, some don’t. They make the fit with slop to accommodate the variance in their own mast specs. Bol...

Re: Buying used lightwind kite Beginner Help

Well, Ill suggest to you a big kite and a big board, not just one or the other- both. Stay away from the draft and the nrg. Neither will relaunch particularly well and that is even more important in light conditions. Look for a slingshot turbine, ocean rodeo flite, cabrinha contra, lf solo, , 17m si...

Re: Turbine 19m

I will add to my earlier review now, that the relaunch on the 19m is excellent. Very light wind, was riding but not powered, wiped out messing around, and kite relaunched almost instantly, deep water, no board, thought I was screwed, used my body as best I could to provide resistance. I was surprised.

Re: 14m 3-strut "lighter" wind kite recommendations?

Ocean Rodeo Flite 14.5m is a great light wind kite. The 2018 and newer models now have the same kite bridle attachment configuration ( loops of the kite's front bridle, knots on the back/steering bridle lines ) as your Cab kites, so would work on your Cab bars. Does "2018 and newer" mean gen 5 or g...

Re: Welcome To California - No Kitesurfing

Hold on a minute here. Does California elect its parks staff? Hehe seriously though As watermen and outdoorsmen in general it is in our interest to protect the environment we enjoy and promote the maintenance and acquisition of more lands for further public enjoyment— -Vote the other way and perhaps...

Re: Welcome To California - No Kitesurfing

One tactic is to prove that your group (kiteboarders in this case) actually cares just as much or more about plovers etc than the birders do, by organizing annual dune restoration projects or litter clean up days etc, carrying out the work with all-kite volunteers -and- getting the media there to wr...
