Awesome video. I like seeing the "learning" wipeouts as much as rest of it. Question for Stephan: The kite that shows up in the clip looks like a Best Cabo. Yes, no? What year and size is it? Thanks!

Re: Opinion on lessons

I am in Hatteras and using a happy foil board and short mast and the original foil fish wings. What are some opinions on lessons? Is it worth it at 150$/hour or am I better off just keeping at it and working on muscle memory? There is so much good information out there I am having trouble justifyin...

Re: Good luck Caribbean and South Florida

One of my favorite Keys campgrounds was Sunshine Key RV campground tucked in between Bia Honda and 7 Mile Bridge. Been kiting/boating there over the winter holidays since 2003. I fear the place has been pretty much flattened and will take some time to get back online. Considered buying a bail-out-fr...

Re: Good luck Caribbean and South Florida

Any info on how the Turks and Caicos fared? I saw this last night. You can see Long Bay right in the eye.... Hoping everyone is ok. I saw an indirect message from Chris Moore at Kiteprovo: Jeff Sherwood September 9 at 5:06pm · Taos Ski Valley, NM · Just spoke to my good friend Chris Moore. He is al...

Re: Where to foil in the florida keys?

I've kited and boated Ohio Key (Sunshine Key trailer park) between Biahonda and 7 Mile bridge for many moons during the winter months. (Took my first kiteboard lesson from Paul Menta in Key West in 2001). On a NE wind the north side of Ohio Key and Biahonda have great depth and steady wind. Launchin...

Re: Outer Banks foiling spots

See attached for parking and rigging. Not a perfect spot by any means, and definitely a stretch for a 90 cm mast to work (solid W-NW required with knowledge of the shallow spots, and skills in order to squeeze out around the islands), but as AGK says, 60-75cm works fine

Re: Outer Banks foiling spots

Thought I would revive this thread since I live here and started foiling this summer. If you're visiting I'll add one spot several of us locals like to foil. It's the soundside event site in Nags Head just before the causeway connecting Nags Head to Roanoke Island. We ride it on S-SW-W-NW wind days....

Re: Underestimating popularity of mid size masts for free ride foils?

When I say underestimate, I'm referring to an earlier committed production run quantity with an outside (Chinese) supplier where RRD might only decide to produce something like half the number of mid size masts versus the total foil production run for that year. After the product is launched they fi...

Underestimating popularity of mid size masts for free ride foils?

I almost bought Hover Glide but decided to give the RRD H-Flight a try instead since I got a great price on it (used to work with the RRD US distributor), they offered the full set of progression masts (45cm, 65cm, 90cm), and it weighs in around 4kg versus the hefty "Sherman-tank-like" Hover glide. ...

Around 4 old timer locals here in Nags Head. All the visiting twin tippers, surf riders, windsurfers, and occasional foilers, pile into Rodanthe-Waves and Avon
