Re: New hydrofoil / wave kite and bar: Kauper-XT

The bar is interesting. I don't like all the extensions. Messy. Would like some longer single line options.

Re: The Future of the Sport?

While I agree that foils are awesome and efficient, they're no substitute for twin tips and surfboards, especially in big wind. Many, MANY riders would agree with me that in the 25-35kn range, conventional boards offer simplicity and robustness you just can't get from a foil at that power level. I ...

Re: Peak 4 fifth line bridal removal

It is almost certainly as Foilholio says. Disoonnected i saw no difference other than non distorted tips. But from memory recollection it was under tension from new kite thats why i was thinking that maybe it is structural part. Could be a nice improvement on an already great kite. Thanks for initi...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Just crash it on ww edge and slack the lines inmediately. Crash should be just strong enough to flat kite on the ground. Work in 20 plus knts for me. This is super impresive peaks feature. On one of my landings gone bad, the kite relaunched and I grabbed my bar backwards and accidently crashed kite...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

OK guys these kites are amazing but I have yet to cleanly self land one. I have no problems self landing other foil or LEI kites but the Peak will just not stay on the ground. I have taken to edge of window and pulled on lower front line or both front lines but the kite either takes off or flops aro...

Re: comparing wing lift

Peter, can you explain what you mean by more “nimble” and more “rigid” for the higher AR wing?

“More nimble” meaning acceleration and declaration?

“More rigid” meaning harder to turn? Roll and yaw?

Thanks

Re: High wind hydrofoiling

Challenges well described by Plummet.

My favorite is when foiling out and a breaking wave literally kicks the foil out from under you. Haven’t figured out that one yet.

Re: High wind hydrofoiling

Higher winds=bigger waves where I am so those are the best days. 3 and 4 meter Peak 4. 3 meter Concept Air Wave. If those kites are too big, I don't go out. I’m curious about your comparisons between your 3m Peak and CAWave Great question. I’m curious also. The Peaks are a very recent purchase and ...
