Re: How important is the weight of your bar and lines for light wind foiling?

I notice a difference in water relaunch. Lots of thick line in the water=much more difficult relaunch.

Re: Gin Marabou Water Relaunchable Single Skin

Kitebuddy made a Video of a Marabou in 6m. It would be interesting to know how Marabou sizes compare to LEI sizes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkiUlmXFoSU I will save everyone 7 minutes. They ride the Marabou successfully with a twin tip and water relaunch it once. Unclear to me what the wind c...

Hi. Here's some clips of my first sessions with the Peak 4 4,5,8 and 11 m. I really love this kite  for freeride hydrofoiling.

Cheers

Carlo
Nice video. What are your wind ranges for foiling with your different Peak 4's?

Re: Teaching kids with the Peak 4

Nice video. I like seeing kids kite. So the plan would be once he is getting up on board consistently, use a different kite? (Better upwind).

If you really want to go that low wind with an LEI you should get the biggest BRM Cloud. Also understand that if you drop the kite you swim.

I would recommend going with a Peak 4 in 8m or 11m. Chances of dropping the kite are very low, but same swim if you do.
This is good advice

Re: Flysurfer Soul 12m

I am about your size and would not use my 12 meter foil kite if over 11 knots of wind.

Re: now foil kiters are saying their kites drift better

..... the Waves from Concept Air(at least the smaller sizes) are the best surf kites there's ever been. ..in my humble opinion. ..has excellent drift (imo, as well as peak4...but waves don't have that low end) ..is stable at apex...oooh and it is relaunchable (almost to a fault) ...... CA Waves dri...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

I'm still interested in these kites. I have a Hyperlink 7m , 9m UL and soon a 13 m V2. Only hydrofoiling. 80kg on big Moses 633 wing. When wind is over 22 knot the HL 7m is a handful. My water conditions in over 20 knots is very choppy and confused wind waves. What size would you recommend? 3m or 4...

Re: turning circle and wing size

Low aspect ratio probably more important than overall size.
