Re: Wanted Liquid Force Lunar Lander or Moon Patrol [Netherlands]

I have the moon patrol and like it a lot in the waves. I believe it's the most directional of the hippie sticks. I works both ways but rides waves well only in one direction. The other direction I use for getting out to the waves again and doing some jumping/boosting. If you don't ride waves there a...

Re: The fight against smelly gear

A good dehumidifier and some freshwater does the thing for me I turn it inside out, hang it half folded over a bar. Then you avoid the streching. After a couple of hours i turn it back to normal and dry it overnight. No problem of smell whatsoever. If I'm away from home and dry it outdoors I always ...

Re: New aquatik single skin by Conceptair

I did a review of the 8 metre Firefly back in September. I don't think you have any chance of going in 6 to 8 knots with it. Here is the link to the review I did:https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=2407886 I have 12m gong strutless that works from 7-12 knots foiling. I can foil it sometimes...

Re: New aquatik single skin by Conceptair

Any reviews of the Firefly 8m?
Can it compete with the Peak4 in lightwind foiling?
I'm looking for a 6-15 knot waterrelaunchable and fast turning kite.

Re: Slingshot ghost 4m buckling under high winds starting loads.

No-strut kites generally don't like to be overpowered.
If you can, set bridle in the most powered (away from the center) position. Don't use to much depower and keep some tension in the steering lines. If thats not enough, use a smaller and/or struted kite.

Re: Off Topic - America's Cup Sailing - Foiled Monohulls

And then you have the Julesverne Trophy with 100-foot foiling trimarans that are screaming around the world with average speed of +35 knots.

Listen to the sound of the sodebo boat!

Re: 50 Knot Challenge - Sam Light

RedSky Please compare apples to apples and pears to pears. For the 500m record in Luderitz you have an acceleration part. Then you bear away and go straight for 500m with the board edged. For the 2 second record you have the same acceleration part and bear away part. But when a gust hits you you bea...

Re: single line stretch problems

Just my 2cents. Bad quality or damaged core in the line that stretches. I any case you should change that line or both front lines. If you strech the line that often, there is something wrong with it. If you are looping the kite often and hard I would go for a sk 99 or similar with durable thickness...
