Re: Windspeed for Chrono foiling

In smooth wind I expect the low-end will be around 7knots for a W800 or W590 foil. The problem is that it's rare to get a smooth 7knots, particularly in-land. Commonly it'll be 5 to 9knots which increases the risk of dropping the kite, particularly if you have the standard (non Ultralight ) fabric. ...

Re: Chrono V4 11m

I own a Chrono V4 13m. I previously owned a Chrono V3 Ultralight 13m. I didnt feel a huge improvement on the V4 compared with the V3 Ultralight, but equally I didn't ever fly them back-to-back for a direct comparison. I think both kites are great and perfect for getting foiling in silly light winds.

Re: 15m Peter Lynn Kite & Beautiful Burrotti Board and all the kit for sale

Hi. I hate to tell you that this kit is old and outdated and it's really not worth anything.... well somebody might pay £20 for the lines to use on a newer bar... Or perhaps use the kite ripstop fabric to make a beanbag. The Gath helmet and seat harness might be worth £20 each. If someone is serious...

Re: Hyperlink V3

My guess is that the V3 will be announced toward the end of 2021... but perhaps COVID has slowed development so maybe 2022 now

Re: Seeking Single-Strut LEI Advice

I'm working with 9 and 12m Pivots. Would getting a Boxer or some other 1-strut substantially increase my low end? A Boxer 12m wont give you anymore true low end than your Pivot 12m, but in reality is what it will give you is less sessions that end with swimming in. You should be able to go out in 8...

Re: Foil kite waterstarting in low and marginal wind

I expérimented a way to increase a bit m'y chances to waterstart in marginal winds. 1/ already said else where but as an introduction : when you group yourself to ease going above the board, try to sink it fully, water above feets, and balance yourself (even if your board is fully under water....) ...

Should I fully dry my foil kite?

I dropped my foil kite in the water (sea water) last week. I flew it for about 5minutes after it went in the water, but I noticed that it was still slightly damp inside when packing away. I would of course dry my kite if it was soaked through, but is it important to fully dry my kite after it gets w...

Re: Choosing a foil kite

With your style of riding and race oriented hydrofoil wings you have a similar setup to mine - I do have the 637 wing so you have the option to add this as well. If I were you my pick is Chrono 13 as this will give you better upwind and less bar pressure - also soul gets overpowered on hydrofoil - ...
