Re: Large Kite that will relaunch

Catalyst is the easiest kite I have ever tried when it comes to relaunching. Almost bounces off the water. But the 14m is hardly a proper lightwind kite. Never had any issues with Zephyr either, but a bit more tricky than the Catalyst. Still easy though. Even when there isn't wind enough for me to k...

Re: What 14-15m kite feels most like a small kite? Lightness, turning speed, but still has power for LW?

I love the Zephyr, but compared to a 12 it is obviously slow. And not sure how well it works with a surfboard? In flat water no problem, but for more fine tuned riding in waves.... I certainly wouldn't have the skills to ride well under such condition with the Zephyr. When it pulls it really pulls -...

Re: Ozone Enduro V3 Release Date ?

I bought two v1s about 7-8 months ago. They were sold at a discount as the v2 was coming, but even 10 months ago the store was selling v1s as the "latest" Enduro (even if that wasn't really the case). So my guess is that the v3 is not exactly right around the corner. Even more so as both v1 and v2 a...

Re: How fun is kiting in Tarife in Levante?

I never experienced straight offshore in Tarifa, but it is offshore in Levante. Never felt unsafe though as there are so many kiters, windsurfers and a couple of rescue boats around. Quite often it feels like kiting in a war zone when it is Levante. I´ll probably go back because it is "always" windy...

Re: Fatality in France

I do not consider kitesurfing to be especially dangerous, but boy have I seen some stupid behavior around (a general comment - I have no idea what happened in this case). Reminds me about what I see riding my motorcycle. I like to ride fast, but in traffic, in wet conditions etc. I will always be ve...

Re: Netherlands Question

I hate being cold, but I would say no need to invest in anything thicker if you got a 3/2 already. Personally that would be my preferred choice anyway.

Re: Ozone Catalyst V1 vs Blade Trigger

I guess this is why so few kites are marketed as "beginner kites". It is not like the Catalyst is a kite for schools and the first few weeks after. Who would make such a kite? Who would buy such a kite? I have seen very skilled riders doing pretty advanced tricks with the Catalyst v1. I would argue ...

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

Fair enough on a surfboard. Then again few would ride a 17m with a surfboard so my point stands - just that all the kites are smaller.

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

Why do you asume an hypothetic 12m Zephyr should be slow ??? , and compared to what ??, to a wave kite ??( any kite will be a tad slower than a wave kite,it's common knowledge, as also it's that a bow kite with more projected área it's more powerful than a C shaped kite as far as both have similar ...

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

That is not a question of constantly switching around. With my 9-12-17 I cover all conditions I have ever experienced. At 100kg+ I have never experienced wind more powerful than I could handle with a 9 (of course it exists, but for most kite spots wind that strong is very rare). A 3 kite quiver is q...
