Re: Used gear in Cumbuco?

I didn't look in Cumbuco, but I often find it is a bit difficult to find boards that are not light wind bigger than 140. Selection is then often not great.

If you can find a good deal in London I would take it. If not you'll find something in Cumbuco - good or bad.

Re: Used gear in Cumbuco?

True. I even got offers for my equipment because apparently equipment is cheaper in Europe.

That said it isn't always the case. I looked at some harnesses that were slightly cheaper than what I have found the same equipment for in Europe.

Re: Used gear in Cumbuco?

My guess is that you should be able to find something in Cumbuco. Toby would know, but the peak season might be over? If so shops should have some interest in selling out "old" gear. I only dropped by two shops when I was there. Decent selection of equipment. Not sure if they had any boards big enou...

Re: We filmed a kite beach for 8 hours ... crashes

8 hours on a busy beach. Is it really that bad? Film any busy intersection for 8 hours and I'm pretty sure one will find quite a lot of interesting behaviour.

Not suggesting one should accept unsafe behaviour, but I honestly expected worse.

Re: Ozone leading edge bladder failures?

Then you will most likely not experience any issues. It is not like Ozone bladders are all failing. I have never had any issue with the main valve on any of my kites.

Re: The best kite for Teaching?

How odd. Had the Catalyst for several years, but never did it nosedive. Maybe a weakness that has popped up with the latest model?

Being aware that the Catalyst I had was the "old" version (I am not sure how much of a restart the V1 was, but enough to start over again with a version one).

Re: The best kite for Teaching?

Not that I have much experience from many of these kite, but the Ozone Catalyst is a marvelous kite. Almost bounces off the water relaunching them. So so stable. Not bad for jumps either.

Can't tell you if it is better than the other kites mentioned, but the Catalyst is a really good kite.

Re: Ragnarok 2020?

20-22.03.

Fee includes 3 nights accommodation etc.

It is not cheap, but considering the general price level in Norway I don´t think it is too bad.
