Re: Cumbuco

I probably should have specified for wind - even if you got 100000x more experience than ,e there - how many days you got with really solid wind etc. The overall package in Cumbuco is pretty "%%"!" % good. I love CT, but it is as you say colder (not a big issue when kiting for me). And it is a bit m...

Re: Cumbuco

I'm no expert on Cumbuco, but it is definitely not the best. Even so it is better than that I would imagine most days in the wind season. And an area well worth visiting. Easy to find stronger wind further north - using Cumbuco as a base.

Probably the friendliest place I have ever been to.

Re: Need help evaluating my Pin Holes

I only ever had one of those and I just used one of those patches on both sides. No problem. However, it would look nicer using glue. Difficult to tell I guess when a kite rips why it happens, but any reason to believe that glue might create a point that might rub against the kite when packed? Or an...

Re: Covid vaccine

Released yesterday. It took WHO almost a full year to understand something that was very clear within weeks of PCR-tests being used for detecting Covid-19. But very happy to see that they have now publicly said a positive PCR-test is in itself not proving that you are sick or got a "live" Covid-19 i...

Re: Covid vaccine

New England Journal of Medicine - Vaccine FAQs https://www.nejm.org/covid-vaccine/faq Some interesting statements there - even I thought they might be slightly too "cautious"? On short-term safety: "Overall, both mRNA vaccines are quite safe — that’s the good news, and it should be the dominant mes...

Re: Covid vaccine

How about Argentina? They locked down as hard as any. There might be lessons learned from Australia and New Zealand. I don't know. These are two countries that are in many ways separated from the world. You already got very specific procedures in place when it comes to keeping insects, diseases rela...

Re: Covid vaccine

One quote from the article I full agree with: “There’s been so much talk about all these people dying from Covid … but death is not the only outcome that matters,” said Dr Charlotte Summers I would apply that same logic to general health. From the research paper: "Compared with the general populatio...

Re: Too many mistakes to list

Why didn't you pull your chicken loop? I didn't think about it because I have never had to pull it before. You mean you panicked you froze up? No I've never pulled it before. * * * He's lucky he's not dead. Didn't seem like he learned anything either. Haha. Yeah. He might have been a bit more rattl...

Re: Covid vaccine

Heard a conversation on the radio about government control lining up to requiring full time mask wearing even after Covid. Claimed that only 1 out of 30,000 vaccinated by Pfizer got infected by Covid, so no need to wear a mask after vaccination. Of course, there is a little time before the vaccines...
