Re: Kitefoil on wingfoil board?

Yes. It can be done. You can climb up on the board and kneestart. With good wind and short lines this is easy, in light winds it is difficult to keep the kite flying and stand up. Here is me on a 105 L SUPfoil board before the whole winging thing started. https://youtu.be/9MQjffgj9ZE -- Gunnar Than...

Kitefoil on wingfoil board?

Looking at the wind ranges for some wings (I’ve never tried winging myself), they say you can get going with a 6m wing in 8 knots. Pump a little and go, depending on board and foil. But if they can start with a 6m hand-held wing in 8 knots, then it sounds like I should be able to start with a 2-3m k...

Re: Large foil floats, any ideas?

Body drag upwind? For example with a Peak4 11m, in marginal winds? I don’t think I can do it.

Re: Large foil floats, any ideas?

Thanks guys. That sucks! One of the best parts of foiling is waiting for it to just porpoise down to you. Guess I will try it again when it's not nuking out but that is really disappointing. My 150 2-piece will sink eventually but it's clearly slower When you bought your nice and expensive foil, it...

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

A little off topic. I see a potential issue with the leash being attached directly to the QR: if your rope breaks, then you lose everything - kite, bar and QR. Not spinning the safety line around the rope is nice, but there is a cost. You mean the sliding rope? Maintenance and regular inspection is...

Made my own version from scratch, although it looks quite similar: https://www.instagram.com/p/CBdlbjcD7Um/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link My adjustmenst after a few iterations: -more reliable to print in PETG -lighter, more compact -better grip -tight fit for the rings to make an even better connecti...

Re: Inflatable Boards for Winging

They don't have seperatly inflated chambers. However they are very thick walled. You would have to actually stab it really hard with a very sharp object to get trough the outer skin. -- Gunnar The info on the Indiana site is limited. 1. What is the packed size and weight for these boards? Including...

What do you think about the infexion QR by the way ?
It’s very nice - there’s a separate topic on it with more info.
