Re: have you guys watched this, its sure to give you a heart attack

Most racing involves maxing wind angles, speed on long reaches, and gear performance. What if you had some races that involved shorter reaches, more turns and obstacles like a slolam section, tight turns, some circles around a point. This would be more accessible for strapless surf foil riders on LE...

Shows promise for how awesome KiteFoil racing could be to watch with more big budget production value. More exciting than most Olympic programming.

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

Just ride the foil right into the ground, boost off, and land on the beach. Every now and then it’ll actually work.

Re: LE stitching stretches / is widening. Need to worry?

Did you guys even look at the picture? It’s at the sewn ridge seam. How do you patch over that?? Looks like a few threads popped leaving small needle holes- that’s the holes you see the bladder through, right? That seem is usually triple sewn anyway. Should be fine as is and the thread probably brok...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

A bit tangential question. I had a gusty session with 750cm2 foil, 65kg, and 4.5m LEI on a shadowed river today with wind changing direction +/- 30 degrees and big range low teens to 30s. Wind felt like it had holes and kite would jerk bump bump bump as I looped and whipped it around the window. Som...

Re: DIY Foil Kites

What if you made a foil kite bridle and bar setup with only a single center front line instead of two? Would there be a benefit in bridle simplicity? What would be the best way to setup a speed system that goes from one front line to two back lines I wonder? No flag out safety of course, but I haven...

If you expect longer swim - Wing wing is much better option than kite. Simply as that!
I know that this is not answer you want but this all is compromise game.
But you need a kite for very light wind.

Re: High volume pocket board?

I’ve been playing with the idea of wearing a mesh backpack with a pair of snorkeling flippers for long swims. Could put rolled foil kite in bag too if sized right and I was out long enough to have it deflate.
