I tried my old Stringy foil wing again after a couple months on my big surf wing and could hardly ride it. Took so much speed and effort. How the heck did I learn on that thing!?

Bought some 6mm OD 4mm ID PU tube on eBay and tried it out today on my DIY bar. Worked like a charm! Glad I won’t be going through my 4mm Amsteel sheeting line so fast. No friction issues so far. Hardly noticed a difference. I have a bunch of extra tubing if anyone wants some.

If strapless, you might try learning to ride with feet parallel and toes to the nose of the board like downhill ski. Then progress to more and more goofy from that. Or maybe that’s another layer and too complicated.

Brunel splice is great for many uses but not for precise lengths unless you’re very good at it. Sewn splices are much easier to get exact lengths. Or am I missing something?
