Re: F-One diablo V1 for freeride?

Just started riding an 11m v1 Diablo with my old strapless Stringy foil and i’m in love. For going sight seeing, just bombing around, and practicing tacks, it’s awesome! Like a sports car! It does take 100% focus since it sits at edge of window and can collapse in switchy wind. Gotta keep stall-turn...

Re: kite pulling a sailplane

I guess what OP meant is imagine kiting in a buggy. Next imagine it’s not a buggy but a plane. As much as probably it is a certain way to break the plane and bones but you can get a flight or two before fan hits the fan. Some good videos come from people with too much time and resources on their ha...

Slightly off topic, but the Plane IS the kite.

Re: Strapless tack how avoid kipping?

What kite are you flying? I was flying tiny kites on long lines and having trouble due to being underpowered and kite taking too long to move across window. First time more powered on foil kite and short lines and it suddenly started working for me. Still work in progress, but makes more sense now. ...

Re: Maneuverable Seat Harness

+1 for the Dakine Vega, or in my case, the windsurf version called Dakine Reflex. Same exact harness but the “Vega” has a handle pass loop. If you don’t need that, the Reflex can be found for cheaper. I cuff off the spreader bar hook for DIY slider or center rope attachment to chickenless QR.

I hear the C2s are bad. C5 minimum.
Beware the hype. C2s are still great kites, just not the hot fashion item that the new models are.

Re: DIY Neo Strutless?

You can get used BRM clouds for very reasonable prices. The older C2 models are still great foiling kites for surf/carve style.
Example: I have a c2 9m for sale for $200.

Re: Best ultra-lightwind hydrofoil

My light wind kite is a BRM C2 17m on 27m lines and with my homemade surf foil I find my primary limitation is waterstart. I think I need about 6-7 knots but dunno. I can stay upwind and ride through transitions in wind I cannot waterstart in. I have a fairly big but low volume board. Maybe a high v...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

So does that mean you should pulp your kite up to only a minimum psi required to maintain its shape and avoid buckling LE with higher loads like kite loops, etc?

Re: Drilling and tapping aluminum fuselage

How did they drill out the hole for the mast foot? I want to do the same.
