Re: Sicily the Perfect Kiteboarding Holiday? - Court In The Act Ep. 79

Sicily is kiteable all year round, though the chance of wind increase in summer with thermal wind that in Stagnone blows almost every day.

Re: what Air lines to use ? USA- Cape Town in January

Hi Matt,
in my experience Turkish Airlines is the best compromise, decent rates on sport bags as well.

Insurance it's always recommended, private south african health system can be quite pricey.

Be also ready to face a lot traffic in the water some days.

Re: Surf kiteboard favorites

Has anyone ever tried Luke's Leaf from Appletree vs the Applino and can compare? Hi, I’ve been riding both, one season each, both carbon construction. Quite different boards for different targets. I love luke’s Leaf 4’9 for flat water freestyle and up to 1/1.5m wave (especially if mellow ones). Com...

Re: Ring avulsion

No rings, no bracelets, no necklaces. This should be taught in the first 15 min of a kite course.

Re: Ring for RideEngine rope spreader bar

^ Why? Its impossible to keep the loop in the ring, unless very small loop ;) Here: https://www.mackiteboarding.com/2018-slingshot-talon-chicken-loop-replacement/ If you buy the right ring, chicken loop sits in very nicely. Right now I’m using a modified ball of the fireball and it works great!

Re: Ring for RideEngine rope spreader bar

Hi,

I’ve been using a low friction ring and works perfectly. It costs around 15/20 euro but definitely worth the money
Chicken loop goes around the ring, not inside.

Re: Travel - Cape Town / Great White shark cage diving

Hi,

Please don’t do it! It’s quite non ethical practice.
There is so much more to do in South Africa!

Re: RRD Type 5 User Manual and/or Line Length Guide

Hi Hockeystar, Please do a favor to yourself and all the kiters around you: do NOT use that kite! Safety system is a joke on old kites, it’s extremely dangerous! Did you have a proper kite course? I doubt any instructor would have recommended to buy something like that. Attempting kitesurfing withou...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Hi, I’m looking for data sheets of Dacron and D2 ripstop and quadtex by Naish.
Do you guys have any info? It would be cool to make a serious comparison with some detailed info.
Thank you in advance!
