Re: Ozone Hyperlink V2 - The Most Versatile Foil Kite On The Market

I have Ozone click in CL and also North Ironheart ...if Ozone is the iPhone Ironheart is Nokia ..no comparison ..soon most manufactures will copy ozone if no restrictions...that said you don't need the click in CL if you are having normal harness as opposed to rope, not many people reset CL but with...

Re: gap between kite sizes

as for kite sizes for foil kites...2 views.. 1. Get 2 kites without much overlap so if you have a limited budget you can buy the premium light weight kites and have a massive wind range. here we are assuming conditions are suitable for say 5-25 knot range 2. get 2 kites with lot of overlap and you a...

Re: R1 V2 windrange and weight

I'll sell you my Sonic2 11m with a bar if you're looking for one...Great shape, beautiful kite with less than 20 hours on it. Thinking seriously about just keeping my 15m R1V2 for light wind and going back to tube kites in smaller sizes now that the new AV8 (Velocity) is a couple days away. thanks ...

Re: flysurfer sonic3, any news?

its actually easy to improve on Sonic 2. Sonic 2 is old tech with heavy kite compared current crop of light foils, kite weight matters a lot specially bottom 50% of wind range. Problem FS have is how to position Sonic and Speed in their line-up. I don't see any point continuing with Speed as most pe...

Re: R1 V2 windrange and weight

thanks excellent comparison R1 v2 vs Sonic 2... If the price is same I would go with R1 V2 1. Weight is lighter I think Sonic 2 11m 2.4kg now that's light at the time it came out but now with all the UL material I think it's not that light compared to R1 maybe under 2 kg.. this from French forum ---...

Re: Speed 5 vs. Soul

I replaced my quiver of Speed 5 and Sonic 2’s with Soul. In addition to better relaunch and turning, the Soul is more stable than the Speed. Perhaps, not a big deal for smooth ocean wind, but snowkiting or on inland lakes, it is a world of difference. I did same...the only downside, and I mean the ...

R1 V2 windrange and weight

Hi Guys, I'm looking at R1 V2 as a second foil kite since they are cheap second hand now that V3 is out. Have 15m FS Soul but 10m Soul is too expensive and prefer a kite that can go upwind better so high AR. Seen Ozone chart of wind range but would like to see in real life what's possible for interm...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink V2

looks like its going to be close call between v2 and Soul, assuming V2 only closed cell. I'll pick the cheaper one or V1 50% discount

Re: New to Soul, Which Bar?

You can use any 4 line low V bar... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tst1PNZAf7Q BUT in low wind you will appreciate 55cm -62CM bar or if you are used fast turning kites... Carbon bars are lighter but fi you are not travelling there's not lot of benefit and you risk damaging expensive carbon boards (...
