Re: BBTalkin headset issues

We use them in our school. I have replaced the microphone/speaker units multiple times. It's important to take the foam off the microphones while drying. That seemed to have helped a bit. However, they still die on us all the time. The quality of kite lessons has become much better due to real time ...

Re: A fix for the loose screw Moses Fuselage to Mast

It could be that the conical fit of the mast to the fuselage is a little off. This prevents from tightening the setup properly. When riding and shifting the weight forwards and backwards one screw becomes loose. It happens to me as well at times but the fuselage is still always sitting tight on the ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

The 8 an 11 are nothing special, because they lack the peak power the 5 and smaller got, so other kites will be able to go in the same, or lighter if a performance foil kite. 8) Peter Difficult to understand this sentence, how bigger 8 anbd 11 peaks can have less power than 5m or 4 m peaks?? What d...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

kiteloop-360 possible is kite rider inertia excersice/trick. Its just not possible with kite - yet peaks are best kite for approaching it. You can argue that he is riding in wrong direction - but he is riding in direction which he want and wave dictate not in direction "so his kite doesnt collapse"...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Those are tips from people "who cannot slack a lines". You can not overspeed wind by looping your kite. If you think you can you are just too slow downwind. Thank you. The most over rated advice: "loop your kite down wind" This seems overly cynical to me, what's wrong with looping the kite? Works f...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Just fly some loops when it gets really light. It prevents slack lines without adding lots of pull.
When drifting the kite try to fly it really high. I find lines slack more when the kite is low. Also try to ride the waves up and down rather than only shooting down the line...

How high is the split in the FS Bar that you got with the Peaks?
I use one of my Peaks with the FS connect bar and the other 2 Peaks with low V on homemade KISS bars. I don't see any advantages or disadvantages with either.

Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

Forget Europe in the winter. Cold water and weather at most places. I moved to Barbados 23 years ago and don't want to go back to Europe. Life is not super cheap here but affordable. It ticks all the boxes for warm weather, warm water, wind year round, surf year round, great kitesurfing in waves, fr...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Remember if it flaps you need smaller size. :) You can't imagine how much I know in advance that at each flap , I will tell myself " tomtom warned me I should have chosen a 4m! " I am not kinding that much !!! ; I am prepared to think this ... and 4m will certainly be my second peak :-...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

To Regis, @78 kg and my KOOL1200 wing, I use the 3 and 5 at their sweetspots where not flapping nor having to work, in wind around: 5 m2: 14 to 17 knots 3 m2: 20 to 23 knots Using my WaveXL (790 cm2) windranges are not that much different, because of more apparent wind power as one rides faster, al...
