Here is my approach to a DIY wing harness. I used materials I had lying around and 3d printed a NSI inspired hook.
Generally I like the workout without harness but for long upwind rides it is great to give my (slightly worn) shoulders a break...

We use the Gravity 1800 for teaching. It's a great foil with good top speed. It is very neutral when getting on the foil and easy to control. I wouldn't call it a toy factory...
They produce rotor blades with a diameter of 150cm for model helicopters which spin with 3000 rpm. I might call a hydrofoil a toy first...
