Re: drysuit with socks size question for those that use them

I use both 5mm and 7mm ONeall Heat round toe. EZ on/off, nice sole I like to be WARM, so i can try stuff and fall in a lot. I had ankle gaskets for a month. Watched my friends with socks get into and out of their suits in 1/2 the time, dry and warm. I paid to have integrated added to mine. No going ...

Get the integrated socks--so great. I am a size 12.5 shoe, wear thick wool socks and use size 14 booties. Works great.

I'd love to see a faster 690/683S style wing. Also on the "bring the 425 Stab back" bandwagon

yeah, the warm water preheat is an absolute game changer, especially on the fingers. You start warm. Makes a HUGE difference.

Re: Best kite for hydrofoil?

So much depends on what you are into. Love my UFO's, but I only foil now and like to try tricks in the swell. UFO's are so good for that, and the relaunch is brainless easy with lots of range. But, no way can a keep up with my racing buddies on foil kites, in large part due to the crazy upwind angle...

Re: fred hope/slingshot hydrofoil quiver

Naw, I don't think anyone truly thinks that gear will make them "Foil Like Fred." I do think that Fred can ride whatever he wants, and therefore puts together the package he likes best. That DOES tell the consumer something: anything from "I want that exact setup," to perhaps "if he's riding that, I...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Soul vs. Ignite

I bought a Soul a year + ago. I have perhaps 40-50 sessions on it now. Love it; except for lack of socks. Dealt with that for a month, after which I had custom socks added for $125. So much warmer and faster on/off. I found two sizes up on booties to be best, but I wear thick wool socks. I get COLD,...

Re: Carriacou

Bonaire is great IF you pay the kite school at the one beach there, Atlantis, for a rescue in advance. It's off-shore wind. You can pay up front for a rescue at a heavily discounted price, OR they will motor out to you if you need a rescue for A LOT MORE. Snorkeling there is off the charts, as is th...
