Re: new foils Liquid Force

Thruster wings will not fit the new fuselage. This is a shame. The new fuselage (like the OG fuselage) fits diagonally in a large suitcase. The HD fuselage that comes with the thruster, is just a smidge too long. There are prototype shims for the front wing, but nothing for the back wing. Well, let...

Re: kite loop radius for gybe to toe

Leave kite where is it - do nothing with kite - initiate turn /just you not kite/ and ride about 1/2 in to turn. Only then downloop your kite - which will very nicely catch you in end of turn without yank. Point is you leave kite on edge where is really stable and as you go from kite you actually t...

Re: kite loop radius for gybe to toe

As a beginner foiler, I'm always having to remind myself "turn the kite first" and "follow the kite". Heel-to-toe, down loops seem easier to complete without worrying about dropping the kite than "up and overs" but I have issues once I'm through the turn. I'm always getting pulled downwind for a way...

Re: SPI Foiling

Yeah, I'll definitely pick and choose my days on the Gulf. Just trying to weigh the pros and cons for the potential light wind days. Do I just bring a big kite and use a TT/SB or skip the big kite and pack the foil and board? More gear to schlep for foiling than just adding a big kite but it is more...

Thanks

Re: SPI Foiling

You describe your 'style' as "spastic" ...... you should be banned from the forum for such offensive remarks Is there a joke I am missing or does "spastic" actually mean something offensive in Spanish(?) Edit: I just looked this up and apparently "spastic" has quite different connotations between E...

SPI Foiling

Heading out to SPI in a few weeks and was wondering whether or not I should bring my foil. How far out do you have to body drag to use a 90 cm mast on the Gulf side (given a "normal" swell day there) ? My plan is to TT/SB the Gulf side as much as possible but might bring the foil in case of low wind...
